Okinawa Weather on 27th June
☁️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
Today, the weather in Okinawa felt slightly cooler. The highest temperature was 31°C and the lowest was 26°C, but perhaps due to the clouds, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly hot. It was clear in the morning, but only briefly, as a light drizzle followed, leading to a mostly overcast day. Although there were glimpses of blue sky, the dark clouds were more predominant.
From Miebashi to Kokusai Street

This is the morning view of Miebashi.
Someone asked where Miebashi is, and it’s a residential area right next to Kokusai Street. This photo captures the morning scene, and the weather was lovely just until this moment. It started drizzling, and it remained overcast afterwards.

This is… our gas bill for this month.
Since I always shower with cold water and don’t use hot water at all, the usage charge is lower than the basic charge. That amount is probably not from using hot water, but from the gas used when I cook ramen at home.

These days, due to my blog posts about the best eateries in Makishi Public Market, I find myself having lunch there almost every day. So, I’m on my way to the market. There’s a light drizzle, but it’s nothing to worry about.

I’m on my way back after finishing my meal. Today, I visited a burger place, and I’ll let you know about it in a few days!
Anyway, it was mostly cloudy, but you can see a bit of blue sky over there. It’s still a bit warm since it’s summer, but it’s slightly less hot compared to last week.

This is the entrance to the Makishi Market on Kokusai Street. Perhaps because it’s a Friday afternoon, there are a few tourists around, but it really gets busy in the evening. Naturally, everyone is dressed in summer attire.
Back to Miebashi

I think this might be the clearest it’s been this afternoon. The blue sky is quite visible. I’m on my way home after grocery shopping.

Judging by the medium water level of the Miebashi River, there is a chance of some rain in the next few days. As I always say, if the water level of the Miebashi River is low, it means there is a lot of rain expected today or tomorrow. Conversely, if the river is full, it indicates that no rain is forecasted for the time being.

This is the Tomari Bridge viewed from Miebashi at sunset. I was stuck with snap photography and rental car booking consultations, and while I briefly stepped out to buy a drink, the sunset disappeared.

This evening was a bit cool and refreshing. It felt like just the right kind of summer. I have snap photography sessions in Okinawa throughout the weekend, and I really hope it doesn’t rain. I’ll leave it here for now and will be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
