Okinawa Weather on June 28th
🌦️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
Here’s today’s weather update from Okinawa. Today, it was very hot and sunny in Okinawa, although there was a brief downpour in the central areas like Zanpa Misaki. The rain, despite being called a downpour, is a peculiar type that lasts about 10 minutes under a blue sky.
Many people preparing for a trip to Okinawa worry when they see rain symbols in the weather forecast, but around this time of year, such sporadic and brief showers are quite common.
The Route from Miebashi to Zanpa Cape

Today… I received a gift in the morning. It’s said to be a speciality from a certain area in Okinawa… I haven’t opened it yet as I’ve been out filming and gathering information here and there today.

This is the morning scene at Miebashi… Once again, the morning view was as picturesque as ever.

On the drive to Zanpa Cape, it rained intermittently about five times. At one point, it poured heavily for around 10 minutes. Thankfully, it only lasted for 10 minutes. I was concerned it might affect today’s Okinawa snap schedule.
Okinawa Weather at Zanpa Misaki

We’ve arrived at Zanpa Misaki. Oh..? There seems to be a group of Korean tourists today. How interesting. Korean groups usually go to Manzamo and don’t often come towards the Zanpa Misaki lighthouse. It’s something new I’ve learned. [Google Map]

This is the view of the sea from Zanpa Cape. This is facing north, and in the distance, you can see the small silhouette of Ie Island. There are also people fishing.

The illusion in the sky, much like the aurora, is actually rain. The area around Zanpa Misaki is experiencing intermittent rain showers.

This is the appearance of tourists. Some are wearing long clothes.
The rain keeps starting and stopping, making the ground damp and the humidity quite high. Just walking makes you sweat.

We got into the vehicle to head to American Village. It started raining again.

After travelling for a while, it seemed the rain had stopped. Here, there are no traffic lights and the road stretches straight ahead, but there are many agricultural vehicles coming in from both sides, so we often have to stop.

We got caught at a traffic light, but the sky was so beautiful that I captured a shot. If you visit Okinawa now, you can see scenes like this too.
American Village

This is after the Okinawa snap shoot at the American Village.
The Evian event is still ongoing. I left a note, but people didn’t seem very interested… It’s still happening, so do visit the Lawson convenience store at the American Village.

It seems it didn’t rain here. The humidity felt relatively lower. Still, as I ran around for the shoot, I couldn’t help but feel the sweat trickling down my face.

This is the view of the sea. Once again, the clouds are white and the sky is blue, looking absolutely beautiful today.

Today, the sky seemed even bluer than usual. When I showed the photos to the client, we kept talking about the blue sky. Naturally, I emphasise the blue. My photos often feature a lot of sky. It’s been that way since my days in Prague. I am someone who loves the blue sky.

I’m on my way back from gathering information for a post about the best eateries in American Village. Heading back to find my car now. I think I’ve visited almost all the restaurants in American Village by now. I’ve been quite busy with work lately, so I haven’t been able to upload, but I’ll make sure to post as soon as I get a moment!

This is a public car park. It’s around 1:30 PM, and the parking spaces are completely full. Saturdays are usually busy with vehicles, but today seems particularly crowded. I’m not sure about Japan, but in Korea, it’s currently the peak summer holiday season. Even just walking down Kokusai Street, you hear a lot of Korean, and there seem to be many Korean tourists.
Is it also the summer holiday season in Japan right now? Don’t people usually take a break during the Golden Week in May? All the Japanese people I know seem to be busy working all the time…
Tropical Beach

Next, we moved to Tropical Beach.
I need to organise and upload a database of all Okinawa tourist spots on my blog. It’s integrated with AI. There’s a lot of information to set up, but a chatbot will be available around next month. You can ask it for organised data, and it will provide you with Okinawa travel information, recommend hotels, and even guide you on car rentals. My ambition is to make it so that you can complete your Okinawa trip with just Cultravel.

The weather was lovely today, so I captured the scenes at Tropical Beach, and this is on my way back. Over there, you can see a mother and child, dressed appropriately. It’s incredibly hot right now, and I’m sweating buckets. The sea is right next to us, and since it’s low tide, the water has receded, making it warm due to the weak currents. This means the humidity here is extremely high.

This is the yacht area next to Tropical Beach, and I took some photos separately to use as a thumbnail for today’s Okinawa weather. A friend of mine runs a yacht business in Italy, and renting one for a day costs over 6 million won. It’s like a luxury hotel suite… Even with a huge discount, it’s still quite a hefty amount for me -_-;;

I’m on my way back home after doing some shopping in Naha. It was a bit cloudy in Naha, but only for a short while, as it cleared up beautifully with a lovely sunset. I didn’t go out in the evening because I was watching Squid Game Season 3. So, today’s entry will be a bit brief.
I’ve got a snap photography session scheduled in Okinawa tomorrow, so I’ll be heading out again. I’ll update you with the latest Okinawa weather news. That’s all for now, see you tomorrow, Matayasai 👋
