Okinawa Weather on July 3rd
☀️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
Today, I had two pieces of writing to finish, so I didn’t have time to take many photos. As a result, I only have four weather photos to share, but I’ll still tell you about today’s weather in Okinawa. The highest temperature was 32°C, and the lowest was 26°C, similar to yesterday. However, yesterday was quite windy, while today the wind was a bit calmer, making it feel slightly warmer. Yesterday, a fan was enough to keep cool, but today, in the afternoon, air conditioning was necessary. Does that give you a good idea?
Okinawa Weather: Naha

This morning was a bit hectic. I had so many things to do in a rush that I didn’t have time to take photos, even though I had my camera with me. I always start my day with an energy drink at this place, and it didn’t feel too hot until the morning.

This morning, I was busy rushing to meet a deadline, and I managed to work well with just a fan, without air conditioning. Around 1 PM, I went out. Since I need to capture photos of the Okinawa weather every day, I make sure to go out 100% of the time. Today, I visited the San-A Mart Parco City. Although I’m currently behind on deadlines, I won’t be uploading new content for a few days as I need to catch up on editing from tomorrow. Once I’ve made some progress with the editing, I’ll share lots of updates about Okinawa. I upload lighter content on Naver Blog and more detailed and organised posts on Cultravel.

This is the Sanei Mart Parco City. Come to think of it, this isn’t Naha. It’s Urasoe, just outside of Naha. Interestingly, this is a shopping mall and the food court has an ocean view. It was quite a refreshing surprise, and of course, I’ll tell you about this place too. You can enjoy something like a hamburger that feels a bit instant or wonder why such gourmet food is served in a food court, all with an ocean view of the emerald sea.
Anyway, the 4th floor is the indoor parking lot and the 5th floor is the outdoor parking lot. The rooftop of the building was quite hot at 3 PM, but it wasn’t to the extent that you’d start sweating just from walking around a bit. [Google Map]

This is a view of the sunset I captured after stepping out briefly to buy a drink. These days, Okinawa is beautiful every single day.
Also, someone in the open chat is spreading nonsense about a typhoon coming today or tomorrow… Right now, the concern isn’t about a typhoon, but rather how hot it will be tomorrow.
Next Week’s Forecast

I’m not usually a fan of predicting future weather… However, since many people are feeling down about the forecast of rain next week, I think a bit of explanation is needed. Indeed, there is a lot of rain expected next week, but I am not bothered or concerned at all. I’m more interested in when a typhoon might form rather than whether it will rain or not. For now, it seems that until mid-July, the likelihood of Okinawa being affected by a typhoon is low. So, what about all this rain?

The rainfall is 2.1mm, 1.3mm, and on the 8th, it was a bit more at 15.8mm.
If the rainfall is 1.3mm, it’s practically like it didn’t rain at all, and even if it does, there’s no need to worry about getting your clothes wet. Instead, it’s more about whether the weather will be overcast. After all, when you’re visiting Okinawa and heading to the beach, it’s much more fun to have bright and sunny weather rather than cloudy skies, isn’t it? Plus, the photos turn out prettier. Even on the 8th of July, with 15.8mm, it’s likely to be either a brief downpour lasting about an hour or a very light drizzle throughout the day. However, since it’s summer, the chances of a day-long drizzle are quite low. It seems more likely that rain will fall in just one specific area.

Currently, there’s quite a bit of green in the eastern and western Philippines, isn’t there? Although the likelihood of it developing into a typhoon is low, if it enters the area of influence, it will bring rain as it passes. What I hope for is that when you come to Okinawa, even if those clouds enter the area of influence, they only bring a brief downpour and then continue with clear and sunny days. We’ve had almost a fortnight of fairy-tale days with blue skies and beautiful clouds, and I hope it continues.
That’s all for today. I don’t particularly enjoy forecasting the weather in Okinawa, but many people have been asking, so I’ve ended up doing this weather forecast. I need to know the weather a few days in advance for snap photography.
Prague has a very simple weather pattern, but Okinawa’s weather is… definitely tricky. Clouds come and go, and it’s a bit chaotic.
Tomorrow, I might be able to include a lot of weather photos. I’ll wrap it up here and return with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
