Weather in Okinawa on July 12th
🌥️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
Today in Okinawa, the weather was generally cloudy. There were patches of blue sky, but the clouds were more dominant. It wasn’t as overcast as yesterday, and the amount of sunshine definitely increased, making it feel warmer than yesterday. Yesterday, even when I stopped cycling, I didn’t feel the heat, but today, as soon as I paused, I started sweating. The temperature ranged from a high of 32°C to a low of 27°C.
Morning in the Miebashi Area

This morning, I got up and immediately made some adjustments to the programme. I had been coding until 2 a.m. last night and fell asleep after finishing it, but when I looked at it again this morning, I wasn’t satisfied. After completing the revisions, I was on my way out to buy a drink. It was around 8 a.m. By the way, unlike yesterday, I could see a bit of blue sky this morning.

This is an area called Maejima. It’s a residential area, but there are many great eateries. Although I upload diligently every day, I make sure to think carefully before posting, so I don’t just upload anything haphazardly.

Still, since it’s summer, it’s a day to wear clothes suitable for the season. Naturally, I’m in a short-sleeved shirt, shorts, and slippers. A fellow resident in the same apartment mentioned today that I always wear the same clothes. Ah… I see…
Afternoon Okinawa Weather on the West Coast

Today, I only have a night shoot scheduled in Okinawa, so I went out in the afternoon to capture some photos of the Okinawa weather. This is Route 58, and I’m on my way after exploring a new eatery. I visited a curry restaurant… and it was delicious. I’ll try a couple more dishes and share a review with you. It’s a nice place.

At Naminoue Beach… there are definitely more people than yesterday, but it seems like there are fewer tourists compared to two days ago. It’s the weekend today, after all. Yesterday was cloudy and cool, so that makes sense, but today is warmer and strangely there are fewer people.

This is Naminoue Beach as seen from the Tomari Bridge.
Personally, I’m not very fond of water activities, so it’s always a bit of a dilemma for me. Although there are sponsored marine activities available, I’ve had three near-drowning experiences in my life, so I’m always quite cautious. That’s why I tend to look unfavourably at people who don’t follow safety rules. Even though I can swim, I don’t go for it unless safety is assured.
Still, I could manage something like that, but I do feel a bit envious when I see people enjoying themselves freely in the water.

Today, I’ve come to Naminoue Shrine to follow the riding route. As it’s the weekend, there are indeed a lot of people. It might not seem like it, but there were actually loads of people behind me.

I’m preparing an article on the top 3 ramen spots in Naha, Okinawa, but even after 2 PM, there’s quite a queue. So, I just took a picture of the empty lot next to the shop and left. I’ve already decided where to go, but I usually try 2-3 dishes before writing an article, so I’ll let you know once it’s complete. I really want to share a lot about Okinawa with you all. 😘

While riding, I come to Kokusai Street and take some photos of the Okinawa weather. It’s definitely a Saturday afternoon, as the traffic is quite heavy. Wondering why the left side isn’t congested? It’s not my first day taking photos here, so I’ve mastered the timing 😅
Okinawa’s Night-time Weather

Today, I have a night snap photography schedule in Okinawa, so I’m heading to Kokusai Street. It’s definitely busy with tourists since it’s a Saturday evening. Even at night, it remains hot, so make sure to bring your summer clothes. I have to run around a lot for the snap photography, and I ended up sweating quite a bit. While I’m running around, you can take it easy and won’t sweat as much.

Since I arrived a bit early, I decided to capture some photos of the Okinawa weather by taking a look around the entrance of Makishi Market. Seeing Don Quijote reminded me… I once made a recommended snack list for Don Quijote, so I’ll renew it and share it with you.

I’m on my way home after a night snap shoot in Okinawa. It feels like I might not have enough photos today, so I took a few more shots. Lately, I’ve been working on a review of the Manfrotto tripod, and I’ve realised I can manage an 8-second long exposure without a tripod quite well. Having worked on thousands of night snaps in Prague, I’ve gotten used to taking long exposures without a tripod, and now that my equipment has improved, the tripod seems to be becoming less necessary.
Of course, when I need to shoot more precisely or from difficult angles, a tripod is essential. Without a tripod, there are only a couple of positions I can shoot long exposures from.

Tonight’s night shoot wrapped up at the street food stalls, and I’m on my way back. People are still dressed comfortably and nicely. It was just past 9 PM.

Today, I didn’t have a suitable photo for the thumbnail, so I’ve prepared this separately. This is the night view of Kokusai Street.
There’s rain forecast for tomorrow as well, but only 1.2mm is expected. It’s practically negligible. Many people get alarmed by the rain icon in the weather forecast, but it’s always important to look closely at the details. I’m quite sensitive about the rain as I have a rather long weekly snap shoot in Okinawa tomorrow. I’m the one who hopes for good weather the most. [AccuWeather]
Anyway, that’s it for today! I’ll wrap up here and come back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
