Okinawa Weather on August 7th

Let’s begin the Okinawa weather report for 7th August.
As mentioned yesterday, today’s content mainly features videos and photos from the northern part of Okinawa. I have a baby photo shoot in the north today, another one tomorrow morning, followed by a shoot at American Village, and then a family snap session at Kokusai Street in the evening. Due to this rather busy schedule, I’m staying overnight in the north and writing this post.
Today in Okinawa, the highest temperature was 31°C and the lowest was 27°C, making it quite a hot day. While the south didn’t feel particularly humid, the north was noticeably humid, with a slight sweat even when sitting in the shade. Moreover, for a Thursday afternoon, there were a significant number of tourists at each beach.
Okinawa Weather Video on 7th August
Today, I’ve gathered some video clips of the weather in Okinawa. There’s also a glimpse of Mission Beach in the north and Sesoko Beach. I originally used to shoot with an Osmo, but trying it with a smartphone is quite challenging. When the Osmo Pocket 4 is released, I’ll just start my Instagram Reels then. I’m not very pleased with the photo and video quality of the iPhone 16 Pro 😮💨
Southern Okinawa
This is the scene around five o’clock in the morning at Miebashi.
After not having caffeine for a few days, I find myself waking up after just 4-5 hours of sleep, so I start working early in the morning. The air is still warm, but it wasn’t excessively humid at dawn.
The Okinawa rental car service delivers right to my doorstep. So, I pick up the vehicle right in front of my house. If you’re spending your first day in Okinawa in Naha, you can also arrange for a free pickup in front of your hotel. I’ll leave a link to the service I ordered below.
Northern Okinawa
This is a place called North Mission Beach. Every time I planned to visit, it would rain, or a tsunami would come, and even when I took photos, the weather was incredibly cloudy, so I failed each time. But today, I finally managed to take some proper photos. I’ll organise and upload them soon. As I’ll be at the car rental company’s office in mid-August to help with some tasks, I plan to upload a lot of content then. [Google Map]
This is Sesoko Beach. Wow, there are so many people here. It’s a very popular beach, probably the busiest in Okinawa. However, it’s quite expensive, and the parking fees are high too. Personally, with that money, I’d prefer to go to Minna Island Beach. It’s much prettier and less crowded. Although there are fewer facilities for eating and drinking, if you prepare in advance, Minna Island is definitely better. I’ll organise and upload more about Minna Island soon.
Bise Saki
Upon arriving at Bise Saki, I received a message from the client saying they would be about 30 minutes late, so I spent some time playing with a cat. This cat has appeared in some of my weather photos before. It lives along the path I always take, and I remember it because it’s always got a runny nose.
This is Bisezaki Beach, just before sunset. I also needed to photograph Bise Fukugi, but by this time, it’s too dark to capture it well. So, I decided to skip the forest shots and focus boldly on the beach instead.
It’s definitely hotter in the north than in the south. I took a shower at my accommodation before coming here. It’s still bearable for now.
While waiting, I drank a whole bottle of Sanpin tea. This is a traditional Okinawan jasmine tea. It’s only delicious when it’s cold. Once it loses its chill… I just throw it away. It tastes terrible…
The sunset in the northern part of Okinawa is gradually blazing. We take Okinawa family photos against this backdrop.
Having photographed thousands of teams in Prague, I shoot and work faster than usual during sunset time. The sunset always has a time limit, so we can’t take our time. That’s why the price is higher.
I wrapped up everything perfectly by the magic hour. This is truly the last scene of Okinawa on August 7th, burning brightly like fireworks. Of course, I finished by capturing this background as well. I’m pleased to have a photo to proudly display on the product page today.
Even though it was hot today, it felt quite cool after the magic hour ended. The temperature was around 28 degrees, but with a lot of wind, it didn’t feel sweaty and was quite refreshing.
Tomorrow, I plan to start taking weather photos in the northern part of Okinawa, and then continue to the central and southern parts.
