Weather in Okinawa on August 17th

🌦️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Today, we begin the Okinawa weather report for 17th August. As usual, it rained early in the morning, and there were occasional showers during the day, but it didn’t affect filming at all. There was a brief heavy rain for about 10 minutes, but the clear sky remained, so there was no dampening of the mood. Perhaps because of this, the humidity was high and it was quite hot. The highest temperature was 32°C, and the lowest was 27°C, but it felt much hotter near the beach or on the asphalt.

On 17th August 2025, the weather in Okinawa showed the central region, with conditions moving towards the north. There were brief, sporadic showers, but they were very short-lived, and the blue sky remained throughout.

I took a photo while waiting at a signal in the central region of Okinawa. Nowadays, it’s quite common to see people enjoying cycling. You can often spot them on weekends, heading either north or south. Since everyone sticks to one side while cycling, it doesn’t really interfere with driving.

Northern Mission Michi

This is the view of Mission Beach in northern Okinawa. The sun kept alternating between being obscured by clouds and shining brightly. To capture the beautiful emerald sea, you need strong sunlight; otherwise, it just becomes an ordinary sea. So, when snapping photos in Okinawa, having intense sunlight can actually be a bit more advantageous. When photographing children, quickly taking shots and moving to the shade is also a useful tip.

The weather in Okinawa on 17th August 2025 was filled with blue skies and beautiful clouds at Mission Beach. It's a recommended beach to visit.

In a few days, I’ll post an article introducing Mission Beach. I’m currently very busy for the next few days, so I don’t have enough time to write. My Okinawa snap shooting schedule is quite hectic. I have a day off next week, so I’ll upload it then!

On 17th August 2025, the weather in Okinawa is perfect for slippers. Mission Beach has small pebbles and pieces of coral, so having slippers is a good idea. However, most of them are rounded, so it's not essential.

This area has a lot of small pebbles, so it’s good to have slippers. Although you can’t see any sharp stones, if you walk quickly, having slippers or aqua shoes is ideal for this beach. Personally, I recommend this beach. The parking lot is spacious, and there are restaurants nearby with good accessibility.

We’ve come down to the central region of Okinawa. We had lunch at a café nearby. It was just past 11 o’clock, so they were still serving breakfast. On 17th August 2025, enjoying the weather at the Okinawa pier. Wearing a jacket with a fan attached. Although the jacket isn't actually cool, it does dry sweat quickly.

A man wearing a vest with a cooler is enjoying fishing. I tried wearing one myself, and rather than feeling cool, it felt like the sweat was drying quickly, which was nice. It’s better to have it than not.

Back in Miebashi again. Today, I need to wrap up the weather post a bit earlier. I’m heading out this evening and I think I’ll be back quite late. Anyway, even though it’s late afternoon, it’s still quite hot. The sun is still strong, so I recommend using a parasol. Sunscreen is, of course, a must.
