The weather in Okinawa on September 1, 2025: A late-night view of Kokusai Street.

This is Kokusai Street nearing midnight. I was having drinks at an izakaya, but had to leave as they were closing. Even though it was approaching midnight, it wasn’t particularly cool or chilly. Since I had been drinking, I didn’t ride my bicycle but walked it home, and I ended up breaking a slight sweat.

There are currently no typhoons or large tropical depressions affecting Okinawa. The North Pacific high-pressure system is enveloping Okinawa, so it’s unlikely a typhoon will come, but I’ll keep you updated if anything arises.
