Weather in Okinawa on September 17th
☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 17th September 2025.
Today, Okinawa was quite hot again. The sun was intense, and around noon, many of the clouds disappeared, making the sunlight feel even stronger. The wind was also quite weak… I visited the north, central, and south for work, but there wasn’t even a hint of the usual sudden showers, not even a drop of rain, making it a rather hot day. The temperature reached a high of 32°C and a low of 28°C, maintaining this level almost every day.
Okinawa Weather Video for 17th September 2025
Today’s video doesn’t cover the northern area as I was too busy, so it mainly focuses on the American Village.
Photos of Okinawa Weather Taken Today

Today’s first shoot took place at Manzamo. It mainly involved taking family commemorative photos, with Manzamo and the Okinawa sea as the backdrop, finishing up at Onna Beach. The family mentioned they went swimming yesterday and developed red spots. I’m not medically knowledgeable, so I’m not sure what that is. Anyway, it was quite hot at Manzamo this morning.

A customer who was filming brought us some ice water, and it was incredibly refreshing and nice. Thank you 😀

This is Onna Beach. Once the map plugin is completed, I’ll write an introduction to the place right away. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to develop it. Anyway, Onna Beach was… incredibly hot.

After finishing filming in the north, I came down to the American Village. There are two shoots scheduled here. I arrived early to capture some weather photos and videos. By the way, it feels hotter here than in the north… It must be because of all the asphalt.

I deliberately took photos where there were fewer people. Since I have to upload daily, doing mosaics can be quite a task… so I just take pictures where there are fewer people. Despite it being a Wednesday, there were many tourists.

This is Sunset Beach. The tide is not at its highest and is slightly receding, yet it remains beautiful. To observe the emerald sea, it’s better on a bright sunny day like this rather than a cloudy one.

This is the view of Depot Island. We’re on our way to take a break after finishing the first shoot at American Village. It’s very hot.

I grab a can of my favourite Zero Pepsi and head to the arcade.

This is GiGO Arcade, the coolest spot in Depot Island. Let’s take a moment to watch people playing games before heading to the meeting place.

It’s a similar photo, but taken at a different time. Even though it’s a Wednesday, there are quite a lot of parked cars.

The second shoot at the American Village has finished. The last shoot is at night in Naha, so I need to drive home quickly. I wish I could take more photos, but I’m short on time and must hurry to Naha. Although I parked the car in the sun, for some reason, the interior wasn’t extremely hot.

This is the T-shirt I wore today. Those white streaks are all salt marks left by sweat.

Then, I headed towards the front of Starbucks for some night-time shooting on Kokusai Street. With about 5 minutes to spare, I took another weather photo. The sky looked like a sunset, not quite night yet. Although it got a bit cooler in the evening, I was still running around, so I was drenched in sweat as usual.

After spending the whole day running around under the sun, I wanted something refreshing to drink, so I stopped by the supermarket. On days like this, barley tea is the best choice.
Okinawa Typhoon News

A tropical depression has formed, which could develop into Typhoon No. 17 or 18. [Japan Weather News]
It is not expected to affect the main island of Okinawa, but it is anticipated to impact Ishigaki Island and Miyako Island. I am scheduled for a business trip to Miyakojima from the 24th, so I hope the typhoon doesn’t come. I will update with any new information as it becomes available.
That’s all for the Okinawa weather report on 17th September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
