Weather in Okinawa on 22nd September

🌤️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Here is the Okinawa weather report for 22nd September 2025.
Today in Okinawa, the temperature was the same as usual. With a high of 32°C and a low of 28°C, it felt like a copy-paste of the same temperature every day. However, today felt a bit cooler than yesterday. I think it’s because the wind was strong all day, so even though the sun was hot, the breeze kept us from sweating. Even in the height of summer, with this kind of wind, it feels like a refreshing summer.
Of course, it was hot in the city where there was no wind.

Okinawa Weather Video for 22nd September 2025

Today’s Okinawa weather video was entirely filmed in Naha. Since there was no filming schedule today, I spent the whole day in front of the computer and then went out briefly in the afternoon to capture some weather photos and videos.

Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

The view of Miebashi Station on the Okinawa Monorail

This is the view of Miebashi today. Although there were generally a lot of clouds, they were thin, allowing plenty of sunlight to penetrate through.

Okinawa Weather 22nd September 2025, Kokusai Street Makishi Market Entrance

This is the scene at Kokusai Street. Despite it being a Monday afternoon, there were quite a few tourists. I heard that from September it’s the off-season for travel, but it doesn’t seem that way at all. It seems there are more tourists than on weekdays in July. Soon it will be October and the holidays will begin, so there will likely be even more tourists then.

In front of a famous café in Okinawa

I passed by my favourite café in Okinawa. It’s really nice, so do visit if you have the chance. [Y’s Cafe]

View of Route 58

This is the view of Route 58. It was around 3 PM, so the traffic wasn’t too heavy yet.

Tourists in front of Naminoue Shrine

Naminoue Shrine as it appears. There are a lot of tourists, possibly because a large cruise ship is docked.

The West Coast Sea of Okinawa

Leaving the shrine behind, I headed to the West Coast Sunset Point. I have some work to handle in the evening, so I can’t be out during sunset. I’m quite a busy person, you know 😀

The view of Naminoue Beach

It’s been a while since I last visited Naminoue Beach. There are quite a few people swimming here as expected.

The appearance of a weeded road

And recently, as the weeding was done, a lot of the grass has disappeared. Up until two weeks ago, there were so many weeds growing along this path that they would brush against your skin as you passed by, but for now, there’s no need to worry about that.

View from inside Naminoue Beach

I just came to check which nationalities are most common at Naminoue Beach. I can hear a lot of Japanese and Taiwanese being spoken.

The view of Tomari Port

Wrapping up the photo shoot of the Okinawa weather at Tomari Port. I have some work to handle, so I need to head back quickly. Today, it rained very lightly for about 10 minutes, and around 7 PM, there was a brief, gentle shower for another 10 minutes. It was practically negligible, almost as if it didn’t rain at all.

Okinawa Weather Forecast

10-day Weather Forecast for Okinawa

This is the 10-day weather forecast for Okinawa. The first line is for the main island of Okinawa, the third line is for Miyako Island, and the fourth line is for Ishigaki Island.
Originally, there was news of heavy rain in Okinawa this week, but as the typhoon is moving away from Okinawa, the rain forecast has disappeared. Of course, sudden showers can occur at any time. I’m travelling to Miyako Island for business from the 24th, so I’m not worried.

The paths of Typhoon No. 18 and No. 19

This is the path of Typhoon No. 18 and No. 19. Initially, they were expected to affect Miyako Island and Ishigaki Island, but now they have become typhoons completely unrelated to Okinawa. Therefore, unless a new typhoon forms, there should be no major concerns for the next 10 days. [Source: Japan Weather News]

That’s all for the Okinawa weather report on 22nd September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
