October 1st Okinawa Weather

🌥️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 1st October 2025.
Today, I’ll be talking about both Miyakojima and the main island. I was in Miyakojima until the early afternoon, and from late afternoon, it’s the weather report from the main island. I finished my last schedule in Miyakojima today and returned to my home in Naha, Okinawa on the main island. In the morning, Miyakojima was quite cloudy, with intermittent light rain and clear spells. Overall, it was cloudy, and the temperature was slightly lower than on the main island. In the afternoon, I returned to the main island, and it definitely feels a bit warmer here compared to Miyakojima. There’s a temperature difference of about 2-3 degrees.

Okinawa Weather Video for 1st October 2025

Today’s weather video is a bit long because it combines two islands. We’ve filmed various locations in Okinawa, so you’ll easily get a sense of what it’s like. It includes both cloudy and clear scenes.

Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

Okinawa Weather 1st October 2025 Miyakojima German Cultural Village

Today’s weather photo journey begins at the German Cultural Village. This village is located on the southern part of Miyakojima’s main island. It is said that a German ship was wrecked nearby and was rescued, leading to the creation of this village as a symbol of friendship. Having lived in Prague for 11 years, I’m not particularly fascinated by German-style buildings… but I still think it’s a nice place to visit with family.

The beach view of the German Cultural Village

Miyakojima was generally overcast like this. It didn’t rain much, just a light drizzle for about five minutes at a time. There was no need for an umbrella, and the rain was so light that there was no need to avoid it.

Bell of Love

Japan seems to have quite a few bells and such that wish for love. And they seem to be a bit sensitive about things like heart-shaped rocks. To my eyes, they just look like stones.

The sea in front of Miyakojima

This is the view of the sea on the south coast of Miyakojima. There are people floating on the sea with something like a surfer board and a paddle. It’s a type of leisure activity, but I’m not quite sure of the name. It’s not commonly done on the main island. It does happen, just on a smaller scale.

The afternoon view of Miyako Airport

I’ve arrived at the airport to return to Naha. As the afternoon comes, Miyakojima is clearing up. It doesn’t feel extremely hot. There’s a lot of wind, bringing a mix of coolness and warmth.

Feet Burned by the Okinawan Sun

Miyakojima Yonaha Beach After running around barefoot, my previously distinct skin tone has somewhat evened out. If I stayed in Miyakojima for about a week longer, it would probably be completely evened out, wouldn’t it? It really shows how intense the sun is.

It’s not the plane I’m boarding, but… I just wanted to get into the spirit. Anyway, I took this photo at the gate while heading to my flight.

The clear sky over Miyakojima Airport

It seems I won’t be visiting Miyakojima for a while. At least not within the next month.
If any resort-related work schedules come up, I’ll have to go.

The View of Naha Airport

I’ve arrived at Naha Airport. It feels like the sunshine is even stronger than in Miyakojima.

A Late Afternoon at Umikaji Terrace

As soon as I arrived on the main island, I started work right away. Although today is supposed to be a day off, I don’t like the idea of being busier tomorrow if I rest today. Especially since tomorrow my schedule is fully booked with Okinawa snap photography, so I can’t spare any time.

The Sunset of Miebashi

Finally, I’m back home. It’s already quite late in the evening, but I don’t have the energy to go out and take photos. The work in Miyakojima was incredibly demanding, and the schedule was extremely tight. So, I’ll just write about the weather and take an early rest to prepare for tomorrow’s shoot.

Okinawa Weather Forecast

Weather forecast for Okinawa from 1st to 10th October 2025

If there are no news about typhoons, we don’t usually write forecasts, but since a tropical depression has formed, we’re providing one. For the next 10 days, it is expected that Okinawa won’t experience heavy rain. Of course, there will be occasional short-lived squalls, but those aren’t usually counted as rain.
It’s October, so I thought the heat might have eased a bit… but it’s not much different from August or September. It’s just summer.

Expected path of the tropical depression originating off the east coast of the Philippines

This is a tropical depression that could develop into a typhoon. There has been an earthquake reported in Cebu, Philippines, and I hope the damage is minimal.
As expected, this tropical depression has no connection to Okinawa.
If any other special weather issues arise, I will bring you more timely information.
This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 1st October 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
