Weather in Okinawa on October 6th
☀️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 6th October 2025.
Today was another very hot day in Okinawa. However, unlike yesterday, there was a lot of wind, and many white clouds above, which provided brief moments of coolness when they covered the sun. Still, it was a sweaty day, and it was definitely a day for summer clothing. From mid-October, the temperature is expected to drop slightly, but until then, it’s good to know that it’s still full summer. The temperature reached a high of 32°C and a low of 28°C, so the Okinawan summer is not over yet.
And Typhoon No. 22, Halong, has completely changed its course and has become a typhoon that has nothing to do with Okinawa.
Okinawa Weather Video for 6th October 2025
Today’s Okinawa weather video mainly features clips from the northern and central regions. Recently, I’ve been filming daily around the Orion Hotel or Nago area, then passing through the American Village before returning to Naha, so the videos will likely follow this pattern for a while. You can easily get a sense of the weather conditions at a glance.
Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

This morning, on the way to Nago Pineapple Park, I stopped at Kyoda Rest Area to take a quick photo of the car. I thought it perfectly captured today’s weather, so I snapped a shot. As I’ve been working every day without a break and feeling quite exhausted, I haven’t been taking as many weather photos lately.

The video includes clips from Nago Pineapple Park, but there are no photos. I was too busy filming the baby to take any pictures. This is the Orion Hotel, which I personally recommend because it has many things that children love. If your child enjoys playing in the water or likes fish during a family trip, I don’t think there’s a better hotel than this.

Here, the sand is white, so the reflected light is intense, making it feel even hotter. It’s a beach where sweat pours down like rain. It’s the perfect place to enjoy swimming, but for someone like me, who is photographing babies playing in the water, well… it’s an environment where you can capture many great photos, but it’s also a time when your clothes and body get drenched in sweat. I’ve come to a restaurant called Sawanoya in Motobu. I visited yesterday and liked it so much that I came again. I particularly appreciate that they serve barley tea here. I’ll be posting about it later, but it’s truly a great place, so do consider visiting. It’s located in northern Motobu and is close to the Minna Island ferry terminal. [Google Map]

After finishing the schedule in the north, I arrived at the American Village late in the afternoon. With about 40 minutes to spare, I enjoyed a cup of coffee at Zhivago Coffee while organising the photos I took today and did a bit of editing for the original release. Zhivago Coffee has delicious coffee, so be sure to visit.

After finishing all the filming, I captured a shot of the American Village Sunset Beach before heading home. Today’s regular sunset was incredibly beautiful, and this is during the magic hour after the sunset. Although Depot Island’s illumination is pretty, it’s not ideal for filming, so I usually shoot the magic hour at Sunset Beach. Even so, once the sun has completely set, it gets a bit cool with the breeze… but running still makes you sweat.

In Korea, it’s the Chuseok holiday, so we’re in the midst of a golden holiday period. Since I haven’t completed about a third of my schedule yet, I need to take care of my condition in advance. It’s still hot in Okinawa, and there are many little ones to meet, so today I’m drinking Rapotan D Premium. It’s not nearly as tasty as the Bacchus I used to drink in Korea.
Okinawa Weather Forecast

Just three days ago, Typhoon Halong No. 22 seemed set to pass directly through Okinawa. However, it has now completely changed course and has become a typhoon that has nothing to do with Okinawa. Although rain was forecasted from the 8th, it has simply turned into hot days. It seems we won’t need to worry about typhoons for a few days. If a new typhoon forms, I’ll write another report.

Here is the 10-day weather forecast for Okinawa.
The first line is for the main island of Okinawa, and the second line is for an island very far from Okinawa. Since it’s not a tourist destination, we’ll skip it. The third line is for Miyako Island, and the fourth line is for Ishigaki Island. The approaching typhoon has changed course, so all the rain forecasts have disappeared, and it’s now predicted to be just hot days ahead. It seems like parasols and sunscreen are essential.
That’s all for the Okinawa weather report on 6th October 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
