Weather in Okinawa on November 5th

🌧️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 5th November 2025.
Today in Okinawa, it was so overcast that the sun was not visible all day. There was a brief glimpse of blue sky in the morning, but that was it; the rest of the day was filled with dark clouds and strong winds. In the afternoon, it started to rain, with the rain coming and going, and by around 5 PM, there was quite a heavy downpour. The highest temperature was 25°C, and the lowest was 22°C, making it feel cooler with the wind.

Okinawa Weather Video for 5th November 2025

Today’s Okinawa weather video briefly shows the strong wind and rain sweeping through.

Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

The Cloudy View of Miebashi

This photo was taken before lunchtime. I’m on my way to buy a packed lunch. This morning’s shoot was rescheduled to tomorrow due to strong winds. So, it turned out to be a day spent working on Photoshop. There was a glimpse of blue sky in the morning, but now it’s completely gone.

A few lunchboxes left

This is a bento shop called Ajimiya that I visit frequently. I like it because the food isn’t overly seasoned. Discovering so many local bento shops like this during my time in Japan really enhances my quality of life. I’m quite fond of it.

A slightly rainy afternoon in Naha

I looked out the window again in the afternoon. It seems it rained a bit again. It looks like the Naha Elementary School in front is preparing for a sports day. There are occasional rain forecasts for next week, so I’m not sure if it will be possible. I’m also worried because I have many outdoor filming schedules next week.

A rainy afternoon in Naha

This is Miebashi Street. It’s drizzling, and some people are using umbrellas while others aren’t. I’m currently not using an umbrella.

A late afternoon in Naha with strong wind and rain.

I’m heading out for an evening shoot. The wind and rain are quite strong, and you can see how this looks in the video.

Miebashi Station in Okinawa, where the rain briefly poured intensely.

It seems the Westerners who couldn’t quite prepare an umbrella are moving quickly.

Okinawa Weather 5th November 2025 Children in Raincoats

In Japan, you can easily spot children wearing raincoats like this. They’re quite adorable.

Rainy International Street Makishi Market Entrance

This is in front of the Makishi Market on Kokusai Street. Surprisingly, even though the peak tourist season has ended, there are quite a few people around. It doesn’t seem like the off-season at all.

The interior of Makishi Market

When it rains, it’s nice to explore the Makishi Market passage like this. Since there’s a roof, you don’t have to worry about getting wet, and there are quite a few delicious shops inside.

A refreshing evening with Sapporo beer

Back home, I grab a can of beer and continue with my work.
It’s a bit disappointing that Japan doesn’t seem to have any particularly delicious beers.

Okinawa Weather Forecast

10-day Okinawa Weather Forecast

Here is the 10-day weather forecast for Okinawa. Next week seems a bit concerning. Hopefully, the typhoon veers off course so that the winds remain unaffected. [Source: Japan Weather News]

Expected Path of Typhoon No. 26

The tropical depression that could develop into the 26th typhoon is currently moving westward. It would be nice if it shifted slightly more to the south, but that’s just my wish. It seems Ishigaki Island will be indirectly affected. On the main island, it looks like there will be strong winds.

This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 5th November 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
