November 9th Okinawa Weather

Starting the Okinawa weather report for 9th November 2025.
This evening, simulations have shown a high possibility that Typhoon Fung-wong, number 26, will head towards the main island of Okinawa. The expected landfall date is the 14th, and it is anticipated to bring very strong winds and heavy rain. Therefore, I would like to suggest that you prepare in advance. Experiencing such weather during your trip is not really recommended, so it might be a good idea to find out what you can do in Okinawa when it rains or consider changing your travel plans.

Today’s Okinawa weather video was entirely filmed at American Village. It was a very clear and sunny day.

Today’s weather was absolutely perfect. It showed a slightly warm summer day, but it wasn’t unbearably hot. It felt like the ideal summer where you can enjoy water activities without sweating too much.
This photo captures the view of Okinawa Naha after the morning rain cleared up. It’s the first city you’ll see when you arrive in Okinawa.

This is the view of Sunset Beach in the morning. There are students enjoying beach volleyball without their shirts on. The midday temperature was that warm. The highest was 29 degrees Celsius, and the lowest was 24 degrees Celsius.

This week and next week, there are cycling events in Okinawa, but on the 14th and 15th, Typhoon Fung-wong, the 26th of the season, might pass across the main island of Okinawa, so I’m not sure if the events will proceed. I have many outdoor filming schedules this week, so I’m naturally reacting sensitively.

After finishing the morning shoot, I had a simple lunch. Personally, I really like the seaweed salad available at Lawson convenience stores. If you visit Okinawa, do give it a try. Oh, and there’s a post summarising Lawson lunch boxes. [Review of 9 Lawson Lunch Boxes]

This is the view of the Riga Hotel before the afternoon shoot begins. It seems it’s almost completed. Okinawa… they really build buildings incredibly quickly here.

This is Depot Island, photographed after the afternoon shoot. Today’s weather was so beautiful and perfect.

There was a bit of time before the sunset shoot, so I went to Jibago Coffee to get some work done. Come to think of it, I’ve visited Jibago Coffee four times today. It’s been a day of drinking a lot of coffee.

Today’s sunset shoot was very successful. Perhaps because it was a Sunday evening, there were quite a lot of people, but we managed to navigate our way smoothly, so there were no issues. It was still pleasantly cool.

All the filming work is done, and I’m on my way home. The magic hour after sunset is truly beautiful.

This is the view of Depot Island in the evening. The weather is lovely today, but honestly, I can’t say what it will be like tomorrow.

This photo was taken before heading home after finishing all my work. The day was still warm, and since there wasn’t much wind today, there wasn’t that refreshing breeze.

For now, it seems like there will be continuous rain this week. I have a lot of filming scheduled this week, and I’m already not feeling great about it. I really hope the weather improves… If the filming schedule changes or reservations get cancelled, it can be quite exhausting.
Currently, this forecast does not take into account Typhoon Fung-wong reaching the main island of Okinawa. The rain icon is depicted with rounded raindrops, but if a typhoon comes, it changes to sharp triangles.
I sincerely hope it passes by quietly without causing any damage.
