Starting the Okinawa weather report for 14th November 2025.
Today’s weather in Okinawa is a bit mixed. Although the forecast predicted heavy rain with strong winds and cloudy skies all day, in reality, there were only a few drizzles and it was generally a clear and hot day. The temperature itself was low, but the humidity was extremely high, making it feel hot purely due to the humidity. It was a day where you were more preoccupied with wiping off sweat than struggling with the heat.
By the afternoon, the weather became very clear, and most of the rain forecast for next week has disappeared.

This morning’s view of Miebashi, Okinawa. It’s just a photo taken from home.
It definitely rained at dawn, which made me a bit worried, but since it’s customary for the rain to stop once I start shooting, I drove without much concern towards Busena Terrace in northern Okinawa. [Okinawa Snap: Busena Terrace]
We arrived at Busena Terrace, and it’s raining. We haven’t started filming yet… The shoot was supposed to start at 10 a.m., and just as it hit 10, the rain stopped. I’ve seen this happen so many times that it’s not even surprising anymore. It often feels like the weather exists just for me.
This is a view of Busena Beach during filming. I was able to capture these beautiful scenes and finish filming beautifully.
As soon as the filming ended… it started to rain and become cloudy again. Well… it doesn’t matter since my filming is done.

This is Miebashi Street in Naha, southern Okinawa. I captured a photo of a woman in long clothing. Considering the high humidity today, it seems like it might be quite warm for such attire. The temperature is 26 degrees, which doesn’t quite feel like summer, but the high humidity is significantly raising the perceived temperature.
And in the afternoon, the weather was this nice. Even though I was going back and forth to Naha for work until the evening, I didn’t encounter any rain.

There were continuous rain forecasts, but most of them have now disappeared. It seems there won’t be much rain next week either. I have filming almost every day, and interestingly, the rain stops just as filming starts, so I’m not too worried.
Anyway, more people are saying it’s cold when the wind blows at night. For a trip to Okinawa, it’s good to bring a windbreaker and a cardigan. Of course, it’s still hot during the day.
