Weather in Okinawa on November 16

Starting the Okinawa weather report for 16th November 2025.
Today, the weather in Okinawa was quite nice. There was a forecast for rain, but it only drizzled about 10 drops, so it wasn’t noticeable at all. The temperature was slightly high, but with the lower humidity, it didn’t feel like a hot summer day. It definitely feels like the end of summer. The bougainvillea flowers, which symbolise Okinawa, have wilted quite a bit.

Weather Photos Taken Today

This is the scene in Miebashi, Okinawa at 2 a.m. today. Perhaps because it was the early hours of Sunday, there were quite a lot of people wandering around late at night. Okinawa is very safe.

This is Sunset Beach around noon. The number of swimmers has significantly decreased. In just a few days, this place will close for the season, and no swimming signs will be posted.

There are a total of seven people swimming. It’s few enough to count now. This is around 2 PM.

The next stop was Kouri Island, so we headed north. Considering it was a Sunday, there were quite a few cars, which made us about 10 minutes late. The beach here had already closed for the season, so swimming wasn’t an option, but it’s a great spot for taking photos with the Kouri Bridge in the background.

They say it’s the off-season, but the current rental car utilisation rate is quite high. Some companies I know are fully booked. It makes me wonder if this is really the off-season. The rental car prices are also quite low at the moment.

This is Kouri Bridge. It would look a bit tidier if only that sign disappeared, which is a bit of a shame. Kouri Bridge is still very windy. It’s naturally windy here all year round. The high hills connect to Kouri Bridge, and below is a fairly fast-flowing sea.

It’s a time when you can often see people wearing thin yet long clothing.

My schedule was so busy today that I couldn’t really take any proper photos. I’ll wrap up with a shot of Kouri Bridge.

There is news of rain tomorrow and the day after, but… from what I see, it seems like it will rain briefly and then stop. Looking at the radar, there are rain clouds, but they are so small that I’m not sure if they will have any impact. Apart from that, I think there might be occasional showers typical of Okinawa’s summer. Of course, I’ll update you with a report tomorrow to let you know if it actually rains.
