The weather in Okinawa on 7th June 2025
☀️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
The daily Okinawa weather stories, which have been shared on Naver Blog and cafes, have finally made their way to the Cultravel blog. I’ll show you the weather stories of the day that I experienced while living in Okinawa through photos. I will also be posting a lot of travel information about Okinawa in the future, so please bookmark this page and visit often.
Afternoon in Naha and Umikaji Terrace

To summarise, on 7th June 2025, the weather had a maximum temperature of 30°C and a minimum of 25°C. However, it felt warmer than that, likely due to Okinawa’s typically high humidity in the summer. I was out for an ‘Okinawa Snap’ photoshoot that day, and since I had to run alongside the children while shooting, by the end of it, my T-shirt was completely soaked with sweat. It was that kind of summer day.

I was on my way out for a business meeting with car rental company owners that day. I needed to decide how to proceed with work in the future. I’ll also be reviewing Okinawa car rentals later, which will be useful information for your travels.
Anyway, I went out on my bicycle, and it’s quite hot. As you can see in the photo, both the children and the elderly are dressed in cool clothing. Sunscreen is a must, of course… For those sensitive to the sun, make sure to bring a parasol.

When I had some free time, I took a brief visit around the Makishi Public Market. I’m always on the lookout for new restaurants to recommend delicious food in Okinawa, so I often wander through these alleyways. The blue sky and clouds were so beautiful that I captured them in a photo.

I recently visited Umikaji Terrace.
The emerald sea and the blue sky were so beautiful that I almost forgot about the heat.
Umikaji Terrace usually opens its shops from 10 a.m., and most of them close around 8 p.m. Since each shop has different opening and closing times, it’s hard to give a definitive answer. Let’s save it on Google Maps for now [Google Maps]

When you visit Umikaji Terrace, you can see things like this. It’s actually larger in scale, but I’ll provide more details in a separate post. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in Okinawa.

Perhaps because of the warm weather, there are many people enjoying water sports. The water here is shallow, making it a great spot for children to enjoy such activities. By the way, Naha Airport is right next door.
Evening at American Village

In the evening, I came to the American Village for a shoot. As expected, I could see the blue sky and relaxed people. Since it was the weekend, there were also many people swimming at the beach.

This is Sunset Beach at American Village… Isn’t the sky beautiful?
On days like this, swimming at the beach is the perfect way to enjoy the true feeling of summer.

While shooting, if a child gets a bit tired, we take a break and then continue. I’ll introduce more later, but usually, I take snap photos for travellers like you. I’m a professional photographer with 14 years of experience. I’ve photographed around 4,200 teams so far. I’ll tell you more about it later.

Usually, when taking photos, I capture the kids enjoying ice cream, often at Blue Seal. However, today the children were too tired, so we opted for a nearby food truck ice cream for the shoot. This place has its own charm and seems quite nice. You can enjoy colourful ice cream while gazing at the sea.

This is the view of the sunset at American Village Sunset Beach as the shoot was nearing its end.
It was an impressive and beautiful day with a clear blue sky, but the fiery, glowing Okinawan night also seems beautiful.

This was taken after the shoot, once I had parted ways with the clients. If you’ve come to Okinawa, you simply must take in sights like this. Don’t you agree? This post is read by people from all over the world, and especially for Koreans, who might not get to see sunsets as often as people in Taiwan or Japan, it’s a moment to truly savour.

This is a photo taken just before leaving the American Village, right at the car park. I wish Okinawa would show us such a stunning sky every day. It would be nice if the temperature dropped just a little.
Evening at Kokusai Street

I took these photos on my way home after returning the car. I often take pictures here because it’s easy to see what people are wearing today and share it with you.
Now, let’s wrap up the first Cultravel post about the weather. I’ve been writing on my blog every single day for 11 years without missing a day, and I enjoy introducing things to you all, so you’ll be able to meet me every day. I want to become someone known not just in Korea, but globally. I’ll stop here for now and share more Okinawa stories with you tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
