A Collection of Affordable Parking Lots on Kokusai Street
👋 Haisai! I’m CULT.
Today, I did some research on what information travellers to Okinawa are looking for, and it seems many are searching for free parking on Kokusai Street. If there were indeed free parking spots on the main street in Naha city, where real estate is the most expensive in Okinawa, I would have used them myself! Since that’s not the case, let’s explore the most affordable parking options on Kokusai Street today.
🏨 Near Collective Hotel

The area near the Collective Hotel, which can be considered a landmark in Okinawa, surprisingly has affordable parking fees. There are many open spaces for parking around here, with various car parks offering rates like 100 yen for 25 minutes or 100 yen for 30 minutes. However, just one block away, the prices can significantly increase, so please check the Google Maps link I provide to help save on your travel expenses 💴

🌏 Kokusai Dori Main Street

The main street of Kokusai Dori has quite expensive parking fees. However, there are cheaper options available, so I’ve included them here. The photo on the left shows a parking area located in the alley to the left of Blue Seal Kokusai Dori branch. It’s not a coin-operated parking lot but a manned one. It’s recommended for those who can speak Japanese, as the staff do not speak English.
🛍️ Near Makishi Public Market

The area near Makishi Public Market is one of the most densely packed with izakayas and senbero spots in Okinawa. It’s a popular area that attracts many people, which means parking fees are the highest on Kokusai Street. Some places charge an incredible 100 yen for just 10 minutes, so be cautious. If you search for Makishi Public Market on Google Maps and drive there, it will direct you to the most expensive parking lots. I recommend marking the cheaper parking lots I suggest and visiting those instead.
🏺 Near Tsuboya Pottery Street

Tsuboya Street is a place where people visit to purchase crafts, so the parking fees are quite high. I recommend the International Street Parking located under the Choco House building, as it is the most affordable option.
🅿️ Other Affordable Parking Lots on Kokusai Street

I’ve explored the area around Kokusai Street quite thoroughly, but later on, I discovered some additional affordable parking spots around Kokusai Street. There are many inexpensive parking lots near Miebashi Station, and they are quite spacious too. If you follow the Google Maps link below, you’ll find all the parking spots I’ve mentioned marked on it. Save it and have a look when you visit Kokusai Street.
