American Village Evian Limited Edition Pouch
👋 Haisai! I’m CULT.
How is your trip to Okinawa going? If you’re currently travelling in Okinawa, why not stop by the American Village for a refreshing sip of Evian water? You might wonder why Evian out of the blue? Well, there’s a guerrilla event happening right now. They’re giving away a lovely limited edition pouch as a bundle, so take this opportunity to enjoy some Evian and grab a limited edition pouch as well.
📌 Convenience Stores Eligible for the Event
The convenience store currently hosting the event is Lawson Mihama American Village Store (ローソン 美浜アメリカンビレッジ店), located in American Village Depot Island. Since this is the only convenience store in the area, it shouldn’t be difficult to find. The event doesn’t seem to be receiving a particularly positive response from people, so as of 25th June 2025, I believe there will be plenty of stock available. [Google Map]

The pouch event is being held in three different types, and a bottle of Evian water (330ml) costs 135 yen, which is slightly more expensive than regular water. However, Evian, originally sourced from the French Alps, is typically expensive, but strangely it doesn’t seem to be that pricey in Okinawa. Perhaps it’s due to a lack of recognition?
I thought this event was happening all over Okinawa, so I wandered around, but I couldn’t find any Lawson convenience stores hosting this event. When I inquired, I was told that Japan often holds these guerrilla-style events. Since it’s uncertain when it will end, if you’re reading this (as of 25th June 2025), head straight to the Lawson convenience store in American Village and purchase one of each type 😆

That’s how I managed to purchase all three Evian pouches. Initially, I thought it was a common promotion like those in Korea, but later I found out it was a limited event at specific locations. So, I’m sharing this information here. If you’re currently at American Village, you might want to head straight to the Lawson convenience store!
👝 Pouch Design

There are three types of event pouches: blue, yellow, and pink. Since a bottle of water costs 135 yen, you have the opportunity to get one of each for 405 yen. Also, it seems like this event hasn’t received much attention, so it might be easy to get them now. It’s a guerrilla event with no information on the website or Instagram, so there’s no telling when it will end. First come, first served.

I initially went into the convenience store just to buy a regular 500ml bottle of water, but I noticed something unusual in the corner. Having lived in Europe for 11 years, I’m obviously familiar with Evian. Seeing a familiar brand, I wondered how expensive it would be in Japan. When I checked the price, it wasn’t much different from regular Japanese water brands. So, I took a closer look at the product and noticed they were offering a pouch as a bundle, which piqued my curiosity, so I decided to buy one.
I really didn’t have any expectations, but it turned out to be quite nice, so I took a photo and decided to share it.

It’s not very large. An iPhone 16 Pro doesn’t fit completely, leaving about a centimetre of space. It seems perfect for neatly organising cute items like baby socks or underwear. There are illustrations of the Alps, the Eiffel Tower, and an adorable Shiba Inu playing in front of the Eiffel Tower 🐶

In other countries, I’m not quite sure what Evian signifies. However, as I often photograph babies abroad, I am well aware of why Korean mothers make their babies drink Evian water before travelling. Since Evian sells the same water worldwide, babies who drink it in Korea without any issues can also drink it abroad without getting an upset stomach. If they were to drink unfamiliar foreign water and get an upset stomach, it would be quite a hassle.
Moreover, it’s not particularly expensive, so why not give it a try?
I hope this helps with your travels, and I’ll be back with more useful information for your Okinawa trip. Matayasai 👋
