August 23rd Okinawa Weather

🌥️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 23rd August 2025.
Today, it was still a typical summer day in Okinawa, but with lots of clouds, it felt slightly less hot than usual. The abundance of clouds meant the sunlight was somewhat filtered, making the temperature feel a tad cooler. As a result, today’s Okinawa snap shooting was more comfortable with less heat felt than usual. The temperature ranged from a high of 32°C to a low of 28°C.

Okinawa Weather Video for 23rd August 2025

Today’s weather video was mostly filmed around the American Village area, and since I travelled by bus, there are some shots taken during the journey. I always do not recommend travelling in Okinawa by bus 🙅

The weather on Route 58 in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025 was very clear in the morning.

This is the view of Route 58 in the morning. I usually take the bus to visit and photograph American Village. However, the bus schedule is irregular and doesn’t always match up, so I often save up a lot of ideas and write blog posts while waiting or on the bus. Although driving is convenient, I strongly feel that the time spent driving is purely wasted, so I often use the bus. However, since your travel time is limited, I wouldn’t particularly recommend bus travel.

American Village

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025, featuring a view of the river near American Village.

We arrived near American Village Depot Island. It was a beautiful day with an impressive blue sky, but there were many clouds, so it was often overcast. While filming, the clouds frequently covered the area, making everything look dull, which made it feel a bit cooler for a moment. However, since the base temperature is high, it was still quite warm.

I arrived a bit early and was writing the announcement for the Miyakojima snaps to be uploaded tomorrow. Typing on a smartphone is quite slow, so I think I need to get a Bluetooth keyboard. I enjoyed a refreshing iced coffee and soon after met with the clients and successfully completed the shoot.

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025 is like a scoop of Blue Seal ice cream.

A customer treated me to Blue Seal ice cream, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Blue Seal offers a menu where they place a scoop of ice cream on top of a drink like this. If you eat it in a cone, it melts quickly and gets on your hands, so for those who prefer tidy food, I recommend trying this. I photograph babies every day, and there are some who eat very slowly. In such cases, it inevitably melts and gets on their hands, leaving me busy cleaning up. Of course, I also capture those moments when the ice cream melts and they look flustered. [Google Map]

Okinawa Weather on 23rd August 2025: The view of the sea in front of American Village

After finishing the shoot, I captured the view of the West Coast. The sky is dotted with many clouds. Today definitely felt like the coolest day in August so far. Of course, it was cooler on days with heavy rain, but among the sunny days, today was the coolest. The clouds filtered the sunlight a bit. While shooting, I could constantly notice the camera shutter speed dropping as it suddenly became overcast.

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025 around noon at American Village. After this, the number of tourists increased.

On our way to have lunch after finishing the shoot. Today, we’re dining at the American Village again. We’re on a grand journey to complete the Okinawa food map, planning to visit and review as many restaurants as possible. I’ve checked out sites like Tabelog, and we’ll mark them on the map in a similar way. Of course, creating AI training data is also part of the process, so development is taking a bit longer. For now, the goal is to develop the best AI related to Okinawa travel.

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025 is such that your skin might get tanned.

While waiting for the bus home, I took a quick photo of my feet. Westerners are quite envious, you know. My skin changes colour like this. All my European friends, no matter how much sun they get, their skin just turns red and swollen. The reason the centre is lighter is because I’ve been wearing slippers all summer. I only wear other shoes for important meetings, otherwise, I wear slippers even during shoots.
It’s the perfect TPO for filming, especially when I need to dip my feet in the sea.

Naha Area

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025: The sky over Naha city was filled with very dark clouds, but it didn't rain much.

I took the bus back to Naha. Of course, to save time, I diligently wrote while on the bus. As we were arriving, I looked at the sky and saw it was covered with dark clouds. It felt like it was going to rain heavily, but it didn’t at all. A light drizzle fell for about 10 minutes and then stopped. More than anything, I think the significance lay in the fact that it was cloudy and overcast. Perhaps because of that, today didn’t feel particularly hot.
Usually, when filming, I sweat a lot, and I’m always careful when changing the camera lens to avoid sweat droplets falling onto the camera. But today, there was none of that.

The weather in Okinawa on 23rd August 2025 in Miebashi: There was a brief drizzle lasting about 10 minutes, leaving the ground slightly damp.

Upon arriving near home, I took a picture of the eastern sky. The clouds covered the sky, and it didn’t quite feel like it was around 2 PM. It was very overcast and the sunlight was quite dim… but after about 30 minutes, it cleared up again, and the blue sky started to appear. In terms of temperature and humidity, I think it’s quite a nice day for travelling. Of course, this would include a trip with some water activities.

As for the weather forecast… there’s nothing particular to report. The 13th typhoon has nothing to do with Okinawa, and there are no noticeable tropical depression cloud clusters around Okinawa. So, I think this kind of weather will continue for a while. It is indeed hot, but it’s slightly cooler, so it’s not too severe.

That’s it for the Okinawa weather report on August 23, 2025! I’ll be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow, Matayasai 👋
