Okinawa weather on 11th June 2025
☀️ Haisai! I’m CULT.
There was a forecast for rain in Okinawa yesterday and today, but yesterday it didn’t rain at all, and today it rained very briefly in the evening. I think it’s fair to say it practically didn’t rain. It was indeed a day with very beautiful weather, and since it didn’t rain, I was able to have a pleasant day.
From Miebashi to Umikaji Terrace

This is the view from Miebashi this morning.
The blue sky and white clouds perfectly showcase a beautiful summer day. It was slightly warm in the morning.

I came to Umikaji Terrace for a shoot. It was around noon, and since Wednesday is the day with the fewest tourists in Okinawa, there weren’t many tourists around.

I think it’s nice to go trekking on Senaga Island. You can enjoy the beautiful beach for quite a long stretch. Today, the temperature rose to a high of 32 degrees, but since it wasn’t extremely humid, wearing cool clothes is good, but I also think it’s wise to wear something to protect against the intense UV rays.
I recommend the spray-type sunscreen sold at Muji.

After finishing the shoot at Umikaji Terrace, I took a moment to capture the beach. It was a time when the tide was low, so the sandy beach was quite wide.

This is the sky over Senaga Island.
I really like skies like this. Just looking at it makes me feel good. In my experience, it was around 1 PM when it was the hottest. Because there was some humidity, it felt a bit warm even when standing still.
The true heat of Okinawa is on a sunny day after it rains.

After finishing the shoot, I came home to organize some work.
Then I went out for lunch, and it was still hot. The recorded high was 32 degrees, but the thermometer I checked showed 34 degrees.

When living in Okinawa, you have to do recycling like this. I had a shoot in the evening, so I went out to do the recycling as well.
Night on Kokusai Street

This is the view of Naha at sunset.
On days when the sky is full of blue and the clouds are pretty, the sunset usually makes a clear appearance. I wish I had come out a bit earlier to take sunset photos, but the coding I was almost finished with caused trouble at the last minute… So I ended up debugging before going out for the shoot.

This is Kokusai Street before it became completely night. As expected, there aren’t many tourists on a Wednesday evening. Kokusai Street usually starts getting crowded with tourists from Thursday evening, and by Friday evening, the nearby izakayas are bustling.

For couple photos, the end of a night shoot is usually done at the street stalls. It’s a very pretty spot for taking snap photos. However, it takes a lot of effort to mosaic the photos of people who appear together.

This is the view of Kokusai Street when it was completely night. It was around 9:10 PM.
The heat had definitely subsided, and it was an evening that was neither hot nor cold.

And it rained a little, very slightly. The weather forecast had predicted a lot of rain today, and there was a possibility of a typhoon forming, but with this amount of rain, it seems unlikely that a typhoon will form.

Since I have to briefly visit Korea tomorrow, I stopped by the supermarket to do some shopping and then visited Tomari Port on my way home. I’m trying to show you more of Okinawa by getting around a bit more.
There’s a forecast for rain tomorrow as well, but we’ll see how it goes. I’ll check the situation in Okinawa tomorrow and update you. See you again with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
