Uruma Kitchen Nerine

👋 Haisai! This is CULT.
Today, I’d like to introduce you to a delightful restaurant in the central-eastern part of Okinawa that you might want to visit during your travels. It’s called Uruma Kitchen Nerine, a place specialising in omelettes and hamburger steaks. I’ve visited several times already because it’s so delicious, and I highly recommend it to you all.
There are plenty of dishes that children will love, so even if you’re travelling with picky eaters, there’s no need to worry. Let’s get started 🫠

📌 Location and Opening Hours

The restaurant is located in Uruma City, in the central eastern part of Okinawa. It might be a bit challenging to reach by public transport, so it’s recommended to use a rental car. It is closed every Sunday and open from 10 AM to 4 PM. [Google Map]

The parking space at Uruma Kitchen Nerine, a popular eatery in central Okinawa, accommodates 6 vehicles.

The car park in front of the restaurant can accommodate approximately six vehicles. As the restaurant is small, there’s no need for a large parking area, so six spaces should be sufficient.

This is the restaurant sign and the view of the restaurant from the outside. If you take a look at this photo in advance, you won’t just drive past it, will you?

Waiting List for Popular Restaurants in Central Okinawa

This restaurant is generally very popular among Japanese people. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a foreigner when I’ve visited. When waiting, you need to write your name, the number of people, and your parked vehicle’s number on a piece of paper. Then, when it’s your turn, they will call your name. If you visit and it’s full, make sure to fill out this information on the paper.

🔖 Menu Order

This is what the menu looks like. Don’t worry too much; I think you can easily order by looking at the pictures. I ordered the Combo A set and the omelette rice.

While waiting for your meal, you can use the drinking bar, where you can enjoy unlimited coffee, soup, and water. I really like the soup here, so I always have it at least twice. I also had a cup of coffee before the meal and another one afterwards.

🍽️ Omelette Rice and Combo A Set

This is the Combo A Set.
It includes karaage, fried shrimp, and a hamburger steak, making it great for enjoying a variety. There’s also a salad included, which helps prevent a blood sugar spike and sudden weight gain. Well… it is fried food… but let’s enjoy it and then have a good run on the beach 🏃

Urumaa Kitchen Nerine Hamburg Steak in Central Okinawa

This is a hamburger steak. On its own, it’s quite large, but since this is Combo A, it comes in a smaller portion. It’s a menu where you can enjoy a variety of things. It’s a paradise for kids, so there’s no need to worry about choosing from the menu, which is its greatest advantage. Of course, it’s delicious 👍

Okinawa Central Gourmet Spot: Uruma Kitchen Nerine's Omurice

Next up is omurice 🍳
Years ago, I visited Mont Saint-Michel in France and heard that the local speciality was an omelette, so I tried this type of dish for the first time. Back then, I didn’t really like it. At Mont Saint-Michel, there was wine under the omelette, so I couldn’t tell if I was eating an omelette or drinking alcohol. But this… this is the kind of omurice I’m familiar with.
Is omurice a Japanese dish? 🤔

Inside the egg, there’s fried rice. It’s a dish that children can also enjoy deliciously.
By the way, if you ask them to leave out the ketchup, they will. As Koreans these days are sensitive to sugar, it’s important to mention this. How about visitors from other cultures?

I think this restaurant is worth visiting just for the omurice. The eggs are fluffy and soft, making it a perfect dish to enjoy without any fuss.

Empty plates after enjoying a delicious meal at a restaurant in central Okinawa.

If you’re travelling to Okinawa, I highly recommend this restaurant. I may not have visited every restaurant yet, so I might not know everything, but from what I know, this place is the tastiest in the eastern part of central Okinawa 👍
Just to note, this is not an advertisement or PR, so no need to worry. If it were an ad or PR, I would definitely mention it. These days, there are too many bloggers in Korea doing hidden advertisements on NAVER, which has greatly diminished the trustworthiness of the keyword ‘Okinawa food spots’. I’m going to try and restore that trust.

That’s all for today, I’ll be back with more delicious stories from Okinawa’s eateries. Matayasai 👋
