Weather in Okinawa on 12th November
🌦️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 12th November 2025.
Today, the weather in Okinawa is quite complex. It was forecasted to rain all day with an expected rainfall of about 30mm, and indeed, a lot of rain fell. Unlike yesterday, there were moments when the rain stopped, and around 3 PM, a very clear and blue sky was observed. Of course, it started raining again after about two hours.
The temperature reached a high of 30°C and a low of 25°C, making it feel like one of the hottest days since I’ve been living in Okinawa. This is because, although the temperature was lower than the summer peak, the humidity was incredibly high, almost 100%.
Okinawa Weather Video for 12th November 2025
Today’s video has quite a few clips. It captures a variety of scenes, from heavy rain to clear skies. Whenever I move or film, I tend to do it continuously, but when it rains, I have to pause for a bit, right? Instead of just letting the time pass, I capture it on video like this.
Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

This morning at American Village looks like this. Of course, it was drizzling the entire time I was coming here. I thought all my Okinawa snap shoots would be cancelled today, you know? I was already short on time for editing, so I thought if the schedule changed or got cancelled, I’d just do some editing instead… and I even brought my laptop. But the rain stopped just when I started shooting.

And Depot Island in the American Village is already fully decorated for Christmas. Although there’s still plenty of time until Christmas, you can start to feel the festive atmosphere early, and occasionally hear carols. It seems like Europe and Korea have a somewhat similar style when it comes to listening to carols, but personally, I feel Japan has a slightly different taste.

After completing all the activities at American Village, it’s time for Sunset Beach. The waves and wind are quite strong, so I wouldn’t really recommend going into the water. Of course, there are many breakwaters here, making it safe, but it’s not the recommended way to enjoy today and tomorrow.

Having completed all the activities in the Chatan area, I’m on my way back home to Naha. In the photos, it seems to be raining lightly, but in the video, you can see it’s actually raining quite a bit.

This is the view in front of our house in Miebashi… The torrential rain was incredibly intense. I had to drive with the wipers on the highest setting.

These days, I’m helping develop a website for someone I know in Okinawa. With that work and editing to do, it’s been quite hectic. I took a brief break to work and went out to shoot at Umikaji Terrace. As expected, I thought the shooting schedule might change or be cancelled, but no chance, the weather is always great when I’m shooting.
By the way, I’ve been living in Okinawa for about a year now, and not once has a typhoon hit while I’ve been here. I might be moving to Seoul around March next year, and from then on, Okinawa will probably see a lot of typhoons.

Island Popo at Umikaji Terrace is a dessert shop. It’s both pretty and delicious, but I haven’t written about it on Cultravel yet. Honestly, I was contemplating whether to continue running this blog, but since there’s someone who wants to keep working with me even after I leave Okinawa, I have to keep coming back to Okinawa even if I return to Seoul. Since that’s been confirmed, I’ll try to organise and upload some content when things get a bit quieter at the end of the year. To make sure I don’t forget, I’ve left a post on my Naver blog. The sea… is quite murky. The water isn’t as clear as usual. It might be because the waves are high. Even when you go closer to inspect the seawater, it’s not the usual emerald hue but rather a cloudy, muddy state.

As the customer mentioned they would be a bit late, I took some photos of the clear view at Umikaji Terrace.
Yesterday, it rained all day, so today, despite being a weekday, quite a few tourists have flocked to Umikaji Terrace. It was even difficult to find parking. Currently, in Okinawa, rental cars are in the off-peak season, and you can book them at almost half the price compared to the peak season. Nevertheless, it still feels a bit like the tourist peak season.

While waiting, I try a glass of root beer. I guess this is an American drink. You can try it at Okinawa A&W, but it tastes different from that one.

After all the filming was done… it started to get cloudy again. About 30 minutes later, it began to rain once more. It seems like I’m not given any time to rest or catch my breath. What was unusual today was that it was incredibly hot. The humidity was almost at 100%, so even though the temperature was only 30 degrees, I was sweating as if it were pouring rain.
I’m worried because it’s forecasted to rain heavily again tomorrow, but I hope the rain clouds turn south.
Okinawa Weather Forecast

This is the predicted path of Typhoon Fung-wong No. 26.
It’s heading in a different direction from yesterday’s forecast. On the 13th, both Ishigaki Island and Miyakojima Island will be directly affected in the morning and afternoon. Although the typhoon has significantly weakened, heavy rain of about 50mm per hour is still expected. It will continue to weaken as it approaches the main island of Okinawa.

It seems like it will rain almost all day on the 13th. Once the 13th and 14th pass, the weather should calm down a bit. Currently, the status of Typhoon No. 26 doesn’t seem to suggest any flight cancellations. I’ll upload updates if anything changes.
That’s all for the Okinawa weather report for 12th November 2025. I’ll wrap up here and return tomorrow with more Okinawa weather news. Matayasai 👋
