Weather in Okinawa on 15th September
☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 15th September 2025.
Today in Okinawa… it was quite hot. We did have the usual squall-like showers that last about 10 to 30 minutes, but today they only lasted around a minute and then stopped, leaving no refreshing turning point in the day, just a strong sun. However, during the afternoon shoot, clouds did gather briefly to shield us from the sun… But when it came to shooting at the beach, the clouds obscured the emerald hue of the sea, leading to a day where we ended up filming the beach twice. The temperature reached a high of 33°C and a low of 28°C.
Okinawa Weather Video for 15th September 2025
Today’s Okinawa weather video mainly features footage shot around American Village and the northern Motobu area. It’s still great weather for swimming.
Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

This is the morning view of the American Village. It’s quite hot. I needed some photos, so I took a few shots and then wandered around to capture some weather photos. It was around 11:10, and the sun was already high in the sky.

In Okinawa, summer effectively lasts until October, so summer clothes are still selling well. These Hawaiian-style clothes are actually quite commonly worn in Okinawa. For instance, even if you just go to a bank, you can easily spot bank employees wearing this style of uniform. Large travel agency guides also wear these clothes.

This is the view of Depot Island. Today, the vibrant colours are striking once again. The sunlight is as intense as the vivid hues.

It’s Depot Island by the beach, and there are quite a few tourists. Normally, there shouldn’t be many people at this time, but it feels like peak season with so many people around. From what I’ve heard, the peak season lasts until the end of August, then it quiets down in September, and gets busy again from early October. However, it seems like there are already a lot of tourists here.

This is the view of the west coast of Okinawa. The blue sky is very impressive, and the intense sunlight makes you sweat.

And it’s a good day to have a parasol. Although the wind was relatively mild today, there’s always enough wind to flip a parasol.

We’ve now arrived in the northern region of Motobu. With about 30 minutes left until filming, we stopped by a convenience store for a drink and a little rest before continuing our journey. It was cloudy here, but it soon cleared up again.

It’s Bise Saki… Strangely enough, there were unopened cans of beer scattered around today. Did someone leave behind a treasure?

This is a view of Ie Island taken from Bise Saki. Today, Bise Saki was bustling with families snorkelling. Bise Saki truly is the perfect snorkelling pool for children.

This is the view of Emerald Beach from afar. It’s high tide, so Emerald Beach is full of water. Every time I visit, it’s always low tide… I’ll organise and upload it soon.

We’ve completed all the Okinawa snap photography. This is actually my first meal, and I had Okinawa zenzai. There’s nothing quite like it to beat the Okinawan summer. Among Okinawan dishes, zenzai is my favourite.

This is the Sesoko Bridge photographed from Anchi Beach. Parking fees in this area are quite high for conducting research… So, I brought my bicycle and explored thoroughly. The water definitely feels refreshing, and there’s a lot of wind too.

These are the distant clouds viewed from Anchi Beach. There were many clouds like those, but none above my head, making it just a hot day.

This is the view of Motobu from the very centre of Sesoko Bridge. I always used to take photos from there looking this way, but today it’s the opposite. I thought it would be very windy on top of Sesoko Bridge, but surprisingly, there was hardly any wind.

It’s not a big deal, but that central steel structure is the exact centre of the Sesoko Bridge.

I’m gathering materials in advance to write a feature article about Sesoko Island later. This is the view of the Sesoko Bridge that you’ll actually see during your drive.

If you shoot from a bit further away with a telephoto lens, it looks like this. It seems there are no large ships docked today.

It’s sunset time. I’m currently relaxing at a hotel called On the Beach Lue, and this is the sunset view from the hotel.

There are no hurricanes in Okinawa, but the clouds looked like two hurricanes, so I took a picture. Perhaps because they were tinged with the red sunset, they looked quite magnificent. From this point, the heat had subsided considerably, and it was slightly cool. The hotel here is bustling even in the evening, possibly because there are people having barbecues.

Today, there are no restaurant reviews. There are so many places to upload, and if I leave them unattended without uploading, I forget what they tasted like and how they felt. So, I plan to organise and upload them first, then visit again. So, I sat on the beach… and replaced dinner with some bread bought from a convenience store.
As the sun sets to this extent… the temperature has become pleasant enough to dine on the sandy beach.

There was a crab walking forward on the beach, and I found it fascinating, so I took a picture. It’s a hermit crab, not a coconut crab, which I see all the time… The creatures that appear in the night sea are quite different from those during the day.

This is the magic hour. It’s the refraction of light that appears about 10 minutes after the sun goes below the horizon. I only brought my telephoto lens out for dinner, so I couldn’t quite capture the high purple sky. Today was an extremely hot day, but by sunset, it was cool enough to enjoy a meal on the beach.
Looking at the 10-day weather forecast, there’s a bit of rain expected on Wednesday afternoon. Okinawa remains peaceful with no typhoons, and only occasional showers. If anything special comes up, I’ll be sure to let you know.
This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 15th September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
