Weather in Okinawa on August 25th

☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 25th August 2025.
Today in Okinawa was truly a splendid day. It was quite hot, but the clouds were incredibly beautiful and the sunlight harmonised perfectly, making it feel almost like being in a dream. If only the temperature could drop a bit and we could see skies like this every day, it feels like it would always be a happy day. The temperature reached a high of 32°C and a low of 28°C.

Okinawa Weather Video for 25th August 2025

Today’s weather video was mostly filmed at American Village, and in the middle, there’s a shot of a fruit-eating bat. The bats don’t move around during the day and start flying here and there just after sunset. They don’t suck your blood; they only fly around to gather fruit.

The weather in Okinawa on the morning of 25th August 2025, the view of Miebashi Street

This is the view of Miebashi Street this morning. Naha also looked incredibly beautiful. The way the clouds and sky are separated always makes my heart flutter. The skies in Europe are also very pretty, but in winter, they tend to be just cloudy, so I really appreciate Okinawa for showing more blue skies throughout the year.

Okinawa Weather on 25th August 2025: The Miebashi River is full of water.

This is the water level of the Miebashi River. Starting today, the low tide will ease, so we will store plenty of water in the morning. It seems that there won’t be any significant rain for the next 10 days, so we need to secure water resources in advance.

American Village

The view of Aeon Mall on 25th August 2025 in Okinawa weather

I’ve arrived at the American Village public parking lot. Despite it being a Monday morning, there are so many cars. Is there some kind of festival happening? It feels a bit unusual. I also see a lot of tourists around…

Okinawa Weather on 25th August 2025: The appearance of Depot Island car park and the sky

This is the view of Depot Island around noon. After finishing lunch and coming out, it seems there are already quite a few people. Usually, there aren’t this many people here on a Monday, so there must be something going on. By the way… it’s quite hot.

Okinawa Weather on 25th August 2025: View of the Annex of the Leku Hotel

Today, I’m working at Zivago Coffee. When I work in a café, my concentration becomes limitless. I spent about five hours there and got a lot done. However, the Wi-Fi was slow, so I ended up using a lot of tethering… Still, I usually use about 2-3GB of data a month. When I used an Android phone, it was around this amount, but with an iPhone, it unnecessarily consumes a lot of data, so I need about 6-7GB.
I don’t have the hobby of staring at my smartphone all day.

Okinawa Weather on 25th August 2025: Entrance of Jibago Coffee and Main Gate of Hilton Chatan

I went out for dinner around five in the afternoon. Since the Okinawa snap photography starts at six, I went out early. By the way, the coffee at Jibago Coffee is delicious. You should visit it sometime.

Okinawa Weather, 25th August 2025, Evening, Depot Island

Here is the view of Depot Island again in the afternoon. Despite the sun slightly setting, it’s still hot. However, the beauty of the sky seems to be reaching all the way here.

Okinawa Weather on 25th August 2025: The View of the Sea in Front of American Village

This is the view of the west coast from American Village Depot Island. The clouds in the distance look so beautiful.

Okinawa Weather August 25, 2025 Depot Island Clock View 5:49 PM

The customer mentioned they would be about 10 minutes late, so I took the opportunity to leisurely capture a few more weather photos. By the way, there are an incredible number of tourists.

Okinawa Weather: Beach View at Sunset Beach on 25th August 2025

This is Sunset Beach. Actually, in the summer, it’s not really Sunset Beach. The sunset isn’t very visible. However, you can still take good photos. The sunset isn’t very visible in June and July, but it can be seen well in August. Many people usually come here to capture the sunset. Although there are often many people in the shots, they are often edited out.

The appearance of the ice cream shop at Sunset Beach, Okinawa on 25th August 2025.

This is the ice cream shop featured in today’s thumbnail photo. I think I took it simply because it was too hot. Just like the person with the parasol over there, make sure you have your parasol and sunscreen ready too.

The sunset view of American Village from Blue Seal

We were trying to quickly capture the sunset, but the little ones were a bit tired, so we took a brief refuge at Blue Seal. Fortunately, after a bite of ice cream, they perked up immediately, allowing us to continue right away. It’s such a stunning sunset… isn’t it too precious a moment to spend inside an ice cream shop?

The sunset view at Sunset Beach

We successfully finished shooting by sunset. Today… there were really a lot of people at the American Village. It was so crowded that we missed a few key spots. Fortunately, we didn’t have a fixed plan for shooting… If we had declared to capture something specific, it could have been a disaster. Anyway, we were able to wrap up the shoot beautifully with the sunset. There aren’t many sunset photos because the sunset is for the customers’ time 😀

The sight of bats eating fruit at night in American Village

On my way home after finishing the shoot, I spotted a bat. It was holding a piece of fruit in its mouth, and another piece was tucked under its wing as it flew. Is that even possible? There’s a short clip of it in the weather video at the beginning.

Naha

The Miebashi River filled with evening water

Back in Naha again. The river at Miebashi is still full. We can’t raise the water level any further. If we do, the drains will overflow. According to the weather forecast… there won’t be any significant rainfall in Okinawa until the end of this month. So, we need to store water carefully. There’s a forecast for rain from September 1st to 3rd, but the expected rainfall is minimal, so it probably won’t make much difference.
There are only a few small rain clouds near Okinawa, which aren’t significant, and there’s a massive tropical depression cloud formation off the east coast of the Philippines. It’s uncertain whether this will head towards Okinawa, so if any issues arise, I’ll update you with a forecast tab in the weather post.

Korean-style Okinawa Zenzai

Today, with so much to do, I made a Korean-style Okinawa zenzai for dinner. Ice treats are nice even in the evening… It’s still a bit warm at night, though not as hot as tropical nights in Korea.
That’s it for the Okinawa weather report for 25th August 2025. I’ll be back tomorrow with more updates on Okinawa’s weather and sights. Matayasai 👋
