Weather in Okinawa on August 29th
☀️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 29th August 2025.
Today in Okinawa was a very typical summer day. We didn’t see any rain throughout the day, and it was a day where the intense sun was constantly visible. Although clouds occasionally covered the sun, providing some cooler moments, it remained quite a hot day. The temperature reached a high of 32°C and a low of 27°C. Today’s report includes some sunset photos and videos.
Okinawa Weather Video for 29th August 2025
The video predominantly features footage taken at American Village. These days, around 7 PM in Okinawa, it feels like this, so why not head to American Village, grab a refreshing drink, and sit by the beach to watch the sunset? You can almost always catch a beautiful sunset every day 👍

This is a weather story through photos.
This is the view from Okinawa this morning. The weather was really nice even in the morning. I had things to do from half past five, so I was up early, and I took the photos around 8 a.m. I had some things to take care of, so I came to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. This hotel was here even when I visited Okinawa 8 years ago, and it’s still doing well. However, in the morning… it didn’t feel extremely hot.

The water storage level of the Miebashi River is very high.
Since there is no significant rain expected in Okinawa for the time being, we are storing as much water as possible in preparation. Although a tropical depression has formed to the east of Okinawa, it is moving northward, avoiding Okinawa.

I thought the Yakult ladies were only in Korea, but they are in Okinawa too. That cooler box is full of delicious treats. By the way, it was quite a hot day to be wearing long clothes. It’s not a great choice between enduring the heat or avoiding the sun.

After finishing some vehicle-related tasks, I’m heading to American Village in the afternoon. I should have just taken the car. Bus travel… it’s quite tiring. I never recommend bus travel in Okinawa 🙅

I’ve arrived at the American Village… and of course, it’s hot. So, I head to a 7-Eleven convenience store to grab a drink. Among their private brand products, there’s a zero-calorie cider that tastes a bit like Milkis or Ambasa. It’s affordable and delicious. Most importantly, it’s a zero-calorie drink. If you find yourself in a 7-Eleven, give it a try.
American Village

This is Sunset Beach at American Village. It’s a suitable day for a swim every week, but the water hasn’t fully come in yet, so it’s quite shallow. It’s like a children’s beach at the moment. The water will come in more by the beginning of the month.

It’s sunset time at Sunset Beach. We successfully completed the Okinawa snap photoshoot. Today was… quite hot again. I could feel the sweat dripping in multiple drops at once.

This is the way to Teppanyaki Matsumoto. I’m on my way to build up the list of great eateries in Okinawa’s American Village. Since a post about American Village eateries was recently uploaded on Naver Blog, it seems it will probably be uploaded on Cultravel first. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t been able to focus on the content.

After finishing our meal at Teppanyaki Matsumoto, the sun had dipped even lower. It was almost touching the horizon.

I tried taking some photos with a telephoto lens. It hasn’t quite reached the horizon yet. I’m already exhausted from today’s shoot, so all I can think about is getting home quickly. I could watch the sunset a bit longer, but I’ll wrap it up and head back. The sun may have lost some of its strength, but it’s still quite hot.

Since it’s summer anyway, dressing coolly is the default, but here’s a photo that gives you a rough idea of how people are dressed in American Village. It’s still summer and hot in Okinawa, but there were a few people wearing long clothes. Even though the wind was mild today.

After finishing up with this photo, I quickly headed home. I’m sorting and backing up the photos, and writing this weather report. There’s a mountain of tasks waiting for me from tomorrow. I haven’t had a day off lately, so I’m planning to take a holiday sometime in September. But that doesn’t mean I’ll take a break from the weather posts.
As for a brief weather forecast, there aren’t any significant issues. The probability of precipitation is quite high, but it’s likely to be in the form of short showers, as there are no large low-pressure clouds near Okinawa, only very small rain clouds. So, it won’t rain for long, and since the rain falls under clear blue skies, you just need to avoid the rain at that moment.
This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 29th August 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
