Weather in Okinawa on July 11th
👋 Haisai! I’m CULT.
Today, the weather in Okinawa was briefly clear in the morning, but it remained overcast for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, there was a light drizzle for about 30 minutes, which wasn’t significant enough to worry about. The temperature reached a high of 30°C and a low of 28°C, but with the strong winds, it didn’t feel excessively hot.

This is the scene around 8 in the morning. I got up, checked the site status from the previous day, and went out to buy an energy drink to start the day on a positive note. The Cultravel blog is steadily on the rise every day. It’s going to be big in the future. Please visit often.
Anyway, the morning was cool and pleasant.

After working all morning, I went out for lunch past 2 PM. Today, I plan to buy chicken nanban don and enjoy a picnic by the seaside.

The View of Okinawa’s West Coast

Enjoy a lunchtime picnic and take some photos of the Okinawa weather as you cycle along the west coast. It’s a bit cloudy beyond the horizon. It rained just a little, not enough to get your clothes wet, so it wasn’t a concern.

Naminoue Beach was indeed less crowded with tourists. On a Friday afternoon, you would expect more people here, but it seems the beach isn’t very popular today as the weather is overcast and not particularly warm.

There’s a spot where I sometimes take a break with a drink, and this is the way to get there. I happened to see some Western tourists passing by, and their attire is typically like this. Even though it’s cloudy and windy, it is definitely summer now. Summer attire is the default.

I saw people training with oxygen tanks. The water here is incredibly shallow and there are no waves or currents, making it an excellent spot for training.

Next to the training ground, there is a campsite, and this is a cat living there. At first, I wondered if it was missing an eye, but upon closer inspection, both eyes are perfectly normal.

With the lunchbox Nambandon I bought earlier, I sit by the sea for a brief rest. I worked so hard all morning. So, this is an incredibly efficient break where I can slack off a bit, have a meal, and even take some weather photos.

Chicken Nanbandon is this, and I’ve linked it above, so please check it out there. It’s affordable and delicious. When you rent a car in Okinawa and head north from Naha, taking along a bento like this is perfect for enjoying a meal at any beach. [Google Map]

As usual, I headed to my personal cycling route today, and here is the view of Naminoue Shrine. Perhaps because it was a weekend afternoon, there were quite a few tourists. So, I took the photo from a bit of a distance.

Leaving Naminoue Shrine behind, today we move towards the back gate of Fukushuen. While we might have seen Naha from above the back gate, it’s not often that we look up at Fukushuen from the back gate, is it?

When I post about the weather in Okinawa, I almost always take photos of Kokusai Street if I’m in Naha. It usually looks nice… but today it’s so cloudy and there’s a slight drizzle, so the photos aren’t turning out well. It’s the weekend, so the traffic is really heavy too.

As I have another Okinawa snap schedule starting tomorrow, I won’t overdo it and will head back quickly to start the editing work. There’s a lot of editing to be done starting today. There were a lot of snap shoots in mid and late June.

They seemed to be tourists from Taiwan, and they were dressed quite nicely. They really had the vibe of someone on a summer holiday. By the way, the restaurant next door has delicious bento. I’ll soon recommend some tasty bento places in Okinawa for you.
That’s all for today’s Okinawa weather post! I’ll wrap it up here and will be back tomorrow with more Okinawa weather updates. Matayasai 👋
