Weather in Okinawa on September 5th

🌤️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 5th September 2025.
Today was another scorching day in Okinawa. The temperature reached a high of 33°C and a low of 28°C, and you could definitely feel the difference between 33°C and 32°C. Fortunately, there were plenty of clouds during filming, so the sunlight was somewhat filtered, making the filming itself not too difficult. However, during research and interview tasks, the sunlight was so strong that it made for a challenging day. We filmed on the beach, and the sunlight reflecting off the white sand doubled the heat.

Okinawa Weather Video for 5th September 2025

Today’s Okinawa weather video has quite a few clips. I was outside all day, so I captured a lot. As I always say, I only upload the photos and videos taken today. Usually, in Okinawa, unless there’s news of a typhoon or heavy rain, the weather continues like the weather in the video.

Okinawa Weather: Sea filmed at Kyoda Rest Area in Nago on 5th September 2025

This is the view of the Nago area in the morning. During low tide, the water has receded, revealing a coral path beneath the sea, which looks incredibly beautiful. It’s a bit hot even though it’s morning. I need to upload a post about the Kyoda Rest Area, but I’ve been too busy to get around to it. I was supposed to be on holiday from the 8th to the 12th, so I plan to write some posts then.

Lunch at the refreshing Lawson convenience store

I had lunch a bit earlier today. Normally, I would eat outside, but the sun was quite intense, so I decided to eat inside the convenience store.

The western sea overlooking Sesoko Island

The place you see over there is Sesoko Island. You can also see the Sesoko Bridge. Today, there are noticeably fewer tourists. The holiday season has ended, and tourism has entered a brief lull.

Bise Saki and Bise Fukugi

People swimming at Bisezakihama Beach

At Bise Point, there were many people enjoying swimming or snorkelling from the morning. As it is currently low tide, the water is shallow and there are plenty of fish, making it an ideal environment for swimming with children.

Feet dipped in the waters of Bisezakihama Beach

I went in briefly for filming… but my trousers got wet, and I struggled with it all day.

People relaxing at Bisezakihama Beach

You can spot Westerners relaxing at Bise Saki when the tide is out. With the noticeable drop in tourists, the Westerners seem more prominent.

The sea towards Iye Island is shallow, with quite an extensive stretch of shallow waters. Although this photo is small and not very clear, the original photo shows exactly what snorkelling equipment was used.

Cats Resting in the Bise Fukugi Forest

These are the cats of Bise Fukugi. Taking a nap in the shade is the best choice on a hot day.

Bise Fukugi Road

After finishing filming along the Bise Fukugi path, we head to the Churaumi Aquarium.

Churaumi Aquarium

The closest car park to the Churaumi Aquarium is the North Car Park, which is usually full, but perhaps because the holiday season has ended, we were able to park there without any trouble.

Entrance to Churaumi Aquarium

Today’s task is to gather some photos related to the Churaumi Aquarium. Although I have some photos taken in the past, they were all on rainy or cloudy days, so I needed to work on capturing some on a clear day. Even though the holiday season is over, there were still many families travelling.

Churaumi Aquarium Main Entrance

This photo was taken at the central entrance. The weather is truly beautiful.

View from the Churaumi Aquarium Beach

[Okinawa Snap] You can also have a photoshoot at the Churaumi Aquarium. There’s a dolphin lagoon, and you can even shoot at Emerald Beach. It feels a bit like an amusement park.

This is the view of the beach from outside the aquarium. The sea certainly looks beautiful during low tide.

Naha and the Sunset

Sunset at Tomari Wharf

Coming down south, I worked on some Okinawa rental car review photos. Since shooting with a telephoto lens is necessary by the sea, running about 50 metres back and forth just to take one photo makes you sweat a lot. It’s still hot even as the sun sets. I recommend not running unless absolutely necessary until it’s completely night.

The Sunset in Okinawa's September Weather

This is the view from Tomari Bridge. I was able to witness a sunset reminiscent of a scene from a Japanese animation. These days, you can see this almost every day. I took and recorded daily weather photos in Prague for 10 years, but the weather there changes daily… whereas in Okinawa, it seems to be almost the same every day.

This is the view of the west coast from Tomari Bridge. Beautiful, isn’t it?

Here, I came back down under the Tomari Bridge to take a photo. The sun, slightly veiled by clouds, looks a bit like the emoji I use when saying hello for the first time.

Okinawa weather, 5th September 2025, last photo

After finishing all the filming and work, I took one last shot before heading home. The magic hour was beautiful too. It’s a bit hot, but it’s not the kind of heat that makes you feel like you’re going to die, like in Daegu or Osaka. Personally, I found the heat in Seoul much more challenging than in Okinawa.
Also, as expected, the typhoon is not related to Okinawa, and there is no significant rain forecast within the next 10 days, so I’ll skip the weather forecast for today. There might be a bit of drizzle here and there.

That’s it for the Okinawa weather report on 5th September 2025! I’ll wrap it up here and be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
