Weather in Okinawa on September 7th
🌤️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 7th September 2025.
Today in Okinawa, it was another hot day. The temperature reached a high of 33°C and a low of 27°C, only a degree different from yesterday, but it felt slightly cooler today, especially at night. There were more clouds today. The heat when the sun is covered by clouds and when it’s not feels distinctly different.
And although the sunset was intense and beautiful, there were many clouds above the horizon, so there was no stunning magic hour, which was a bit disappointing.
Okinawa Weather Video for 7th September 2025
Today, there are more clips than usual in the Okinawa weather video, and since it’s September, Lawson convenience stores have started selling oden. These are usually placed in convenience stores that are popular with tourists. Many people from Korea enjoy Lawson’s oden, so I included a short mention in the weather video to let you know that convenience store oden is now available.
Northern Nago, Motobu Area

These days, I travel on the Okinawa Expressway every day. Although I recommend travelling along Route 58 for an Okinawa trip rather than the expressway, filming every day makes it a bit tiring to travel by the national road, so I take the expressway to have some rest. I’m spending over 3,000 yen on tolls each day. This is the Kyoda Service Area. It’s a service area at the end of the expressway, so you can visit it too. It’s also on Route 58.

I stopped by the Lawson convenience store where you can see the Sesoko Bridge and took a few photos. Even though it’s around 9:20 in the morning, it’s slightly warm. Today, the wind is generally weak, so when the sun shines, it feels quite hot. Sweat is pouring down like rain.

The first session of [Okinawa Snap Photography] starts at 10 AM, so I arrive early to take some weather photos. That over there is Iejima Island.

It’s Bisezaki… It seems like they’re having a group model photoshoot. About 15 years ago, I used to do a lot of those too. Back then, I would pay to hire models for shoots, but now I get paid to shoot all day.

Today, Bisezaki is at low tide, so the water is shallow. The full moon was also very large, which seems to have made the low tide stronger. Still, Bisezaki has plenty of fish, and even young children can easily snorkel here. I think Bisezaki might be the easiest snorkelling spot for children in Okinawa.

After finishing the shoot at Bisezaki, I took a picture of an alleyway while moving to the next filming location. Somehow, it felt like a backstreet from mainland Japan rather than Okinawa, which I quite liked.

This is Minna Island Pier. Although the holiday season has ended, it’s still the weekend, so there were quite a few people coming and going to Minna Island. Minna Island is truly beautiful, so make sure to visit.

I’m a bit tired from driving since early morning. So, I stopped by Kyoda rest area to have a cup of coffee before continuing my drive. The filming schedule has been quite hectic lately, so it’s a bit tough. Just one more day of filming, and then I can rest for a few days. I was originally planning to go on holiday to Korea, but… due to various reasons, I had to cancel my flight ticket. By the way, Kyoda rest area is quite warm too.
Onna Village Area

Recently, there have been families interested in shooting around the Manzamo area, so I did some research on Manzamo and the nearby beaches. We need to do some special filming, so I went ahead to test if it was possible. I confirmed that it can proceed without any issues. Since the families include elderly members, we need to manage the itinerary carefully, and even though the booking is for September and October, it’s still hot, so we need to think about how to handle the heat.

In Okinawa, you can see students playing baseball everywhere. I heard that Okinawa won the Koshien this time. Certainly, Okinawa offers great conditions for baseball training and practice. It’s less hot compared to mainland Japan. I never experienced a day in Okinawa that was hotter than the summer days I felt in Osaka.

This is the view of Onna Citizen’s Park Beach. There are people enjoying the banana boat. It’s quite fun. I have posted about it on Naver Blog before, but I plan to rework and upload it again anyway. Although I was originally on holiday from Monday to Friday, I’ve decided to just work instead, so I’ll be posting some information and making some program adjustments.
Tropical Beach

We conducted the evening shoot at [Tropical Beach]. This is also a perfect sunset point beach, even more precise than the Sunset Beach at American Village. It’s a better spot for watching the sunset. I took a photo of a bicycle that looked intriguingly similar to the motorbike from Tokyo Revengers.

This is the sunset view at Tropical Beach. Today, there were many clouds above the horizon, so while we witnessed a vibrant sunset, unfortunately, the magic hour was not observed. Meanwhile, the heat still hasn’t disappeared.

When I was returning to Naha from the central region, I received a message asking if it was possible to shoot at night despite the heavy rain. There was no rain at all while I was driving, but when I got back to Naha, it was raining quite a bit. So, we ended up rescheduling for tomorrow. I was quite tired today, so I’m a bit relieved that we can postpone the shoot to tomorrow. It was really hot today.
This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 7th September 2025. There are no typhoons or significant rain forecasts, so there’s no additional information to share at the moment. I’ll be back with more Okinawa weather updates tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
