Hi, I’m author S.
Today I’ve given some photos from past Prague photo shoots a fresh edit and posted them here. And my writing style.. I used to write a line or two for each photo.. but perhaps the photographers I met while shooting in Jeju rubbed off on me.. because now I put the photos together and write the text separately, like this.
People who want to read will read, and people who just want to look at the photos will do that anyway. Above all.. when I write something for every photo.. I find it really dull and boring to write. I end up repeating the same things every time.

I also tried editing these photos in a style I hadn’t used before. Well.. it wasn’t really about trying a different style.. the originals were just really poor quality. Maybe I wasn’t feeling my best when I took them.. anyway, the quality of the originals was dreadful. The colors were just.. a complete mess, all over the place.. so I took the opportunity to make a filter myself and try it out. The idea was to bring those messy colors.. into line a little.
I don’t know whether I’ll keep using this filter. Making filters like this is no big deal for me, so I can just make a different one for other photos 😀

Jeju..
The time I spent shooting there meant a lot to me. One of the photos is completely out of focus, and the reason I went out of my way to select and edit it was.. it reminded me that even failed shots can have this kind of feel if I make the most of them. Well.. that doesn’t mean I think I’ll keep shooting in this style. I always feel that my photography style is behind the times, and I imagine making a big change, but it never quite works out the way I want. I learned a lot while shooting in Jeju this time, and I feel as though I might be able to make better photos.

And one noticeable change from shooting in Jeju is.. I’ve started looking at other photographers’ work for reference. Funny thing to say, isn’t it? Since I set up a company called Sarangbi in Prague, I hadn’t looked at or used any other photographer’s work as a reference. Even if I did see it, I tried to forget it. I wondered whether I’d become too wrapped up in my own little world.. and now that I’m looking at other photographers’ work and trying new things.. I’ve found there’s so much I can do. I do regret not doing this sooner.
I probably wouldn’t have learned any of this if photographer Segyun hadn’t suggested I come to Jeju and try shooting there. Right now, I’m full of energy. I want to put all that energy to use in Prague too. I’m brimming with confidence that I can do much better than before.

Thanks for reading this long post.

Booking Information

If I resume photo shoots in Prague, I’ll make a separate announcement.

I’m not currently doing photo shoots or taking bookings in Prague, and I’ll make a separate announcement if I resume. If I do, a 1-hour daytime shoot would cost about 250,000 KRW, and a 3-hour day-and-night shoot, with 2 hours in the daytime and 1 hour at night, would cost around 400,000 KRW. The 3-hour shoot would include 30 edited photos and 450 original photos.
