Family photos from a summer walk in Prague with two sons

Hi, I’m author S.
Today I’d like to share some family photos from Prague!
I took these family photos in Prague the previous summer.

The parents and their two sons sit on a scenic bench overlooking Prague Castle (Pražský hrad).

Prague Summer Family Photo Shoot Summary

Summer family photos of parents and their two sons, from a shoot whose schedule changed when it started pouring right at the beginning.

●Prague Summer Family Photo Shoot
I take photos when the kids are playing together and when it's just mom and dad too.
Details
Shoot LocationPrague
Shoot DateJuly 20, 2023
Duration1 hour
Group Size4 people
Price₩250000
HighlightsAlongside photos of all four family members, I also took photos of just the kids and just mom and dad from time to time. I value a style that keeps the subjects sharp and the background and sky looking clean.
Things to NoteI'm currently not offering photo shoots or taking bookings in Prague.

We eased into the shoot at Strahov Monastery (Strahovský klášter).. I remember this day.. it started pouring as soon as the shoot began.. so I changed the schedule. It had started off so well, too. It was late afternoon when the color of the sky changed a little. I used to try to avoid going up to Our Lady of Exile on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or public holiday afternoons.

The two sons lie on a bench in front of a window, goofing around.

I take photos here and there while they rest like this. Well.. they’re nothing spectacular, but I think looking back at them in about 20 years might bring back some wonderful memories.

The couple stand with Charles Bridge (Karlův most) and a tower in the background.

Sometimes I take photos of just the kids, and sometimes just mom and dad.
I’ve always valued a clean style that still looks good when you revisit the photos 10 or 20 years later. So my photos might not be quite right for showing off on Instagram.

Simple, clean shots.. there’s no mistaking Prague!

I shoot and edit my photos to keep the subjects sharp, the backgrounds clean and the sky from being blown out to white.. I’m almost obsessively attached to this style. I never compromise. That’s why I can show every photo with confidence.

The family sits side by side on a red brick railing, smiling.

I have hardly any childhood photos because they were destroyed in a fire.. Even though I took these, I can’t help feeling envious when I look at them.

The family poses by the Vltava River (Vltava), with Charles Bridge (Karlův most) in the background.

You can’t go wrong with Aquamare 😀

The child in a blue shirt stands on playground equipment.

Of course, I didn’t stage this. The kids were happily playing together, so I took photos. I still made an effort to give these shots a sense of Prague..

The two brothers walk along a cobbled path below Charles Bridge (Karlův most).

We stopped at a shop specializing in trdelník below Charles Bridge (Karlův most). There are lots of cute photos from here too.. but there were too many, so I left them out of this post.

Oh, right, they’ve changed outfits 😀

Aquamare 😀
This is a photography technique too: because children are short, I need to move a little closer to photograph them. The younger the child or baby, the closer I need to get. If I photograph a baby the way I would an adult, the baby ends up looking like a prop for mom and dad rather than the subject of the photo. So even at the same spot, the photos have a slightly different feel 😀

The family stands beside a streetlight on Charles Bridge (Karlův most), with Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) in the background.

A shot on Charles Bridge too!

The family stands in Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) with Týn Church (Chrám Matky Boží před Týnem) in the background.

I also take a shot with Týn Church (Chrám Matky Boží před Týnem) in the heart of Prague as the backdrop.

The family walks across a crosswalk, recreating a Beatles album cover.

Recreating a Beatles album cover.. well.. it doesn’t have to be perfect. This is how memories are made 🙂

Once they’re back to everyday life, mom and dad probably won’t have many photos of just the two of them.. so I need to take plenty while I have the chance 😀

The family stands with arms outstretched in Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí).

We finish in Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí). I hope you’re always as happy as you were that day.
It was a pleasure spending time with you, and I wish you good health always!

Booking Information

If I resume photo shoots in Prague, I’ll make a separate announcement.

I’m currently not offering photo shoots or taking bookings in Prague. If I resume, I’ll make a separate announcement. If I do shoots in Prague again, a 1-hour daytime shoot would cost about 250,000 KRW, and a 3-hour day-and-night shoot, with 2 hours by day and 1 hour at night, would be around 400,000 KRW. A 3-hour shoot would include 30 edited photos and 450 original photos.
