Weather in Okinawa on September 6th

🌤️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 6th September 2025.
Today, Okinawa was typically hot. There were no particular weather issues, and no typhoons at all, so it feels like I’m just copying and pasting the weather story every day. I lived in Europe for 11 years, and the weather wasn’t this monotonous and peaceful there, you know? Europe benefits from the blessed climate of the North-East Atlantic, but it wasn’t this calm.
Right now, Okinawa is simply pure and hot. Today’s high was 33°C, and the low was 28°C.

Okinawa Weather Video for 6th September 2025

Today, I was out from morning till evening for filming at American Village. So, the day was filled with videos and photos taken around Depot Island, and although the video quality isn’t great, there’s a bit of fireworks included as well.

Miebashi morning weather

On my way to get some morning tea. Today is another quite hot day from the morning. Honestly, I find it bearable and although I work outside all day, it doesn’t really tire me out. I’ve worked in even higher temperatures than this, so the Okinawan heat isn’t too challenging for me.

The morning weather at American Village

This is the view of Depot Island in the morning. If people are captured in the photo, I need to apply a mosaic effect… I usually try to avoid filming when there are many people, but today there were quite a few people at Depot Island from the morning. And it wasn’t extremely hot yet. Usually, the peak is from 2 PM onwards.

The morning view of American Village Sunset Beach

It’s a period of low tide with an almost full moon, so the sea is very shallow. It’s even shallower than yesterday. However, the water isn’t hot. When the water recedes further, it doesn’t circulate, causing it to become warm.

American Village Afternoon Lequ Hotel 1st Floor

After finishing the afternoon shoot, I’m heading to [Jibago Coffee].
I’m quite familiar with Jibago Coffee as I often go there to work. I’ve tried most of the menu too. By the way, it’s nice to occasionally interact with people developing AI. We share our know-how with each other. I really enjoy this. One of the reasons I came to Japan was to connect with people, as most of the photography styles I like are by Japanese people. Okinawa Weather 6th September 2025 American Village

It’s late afternoon. More and more people are gathering. Since there’s a fireworks display at 8 PM, many people watch the sunset around 7 PM, take a short break, and then head back after the fireworks. So, I need to hurry with my filming. When there are more people, it can be a bit of a nuisance… I do have a rather loud voice. It tends to draw a lot of attention… Usually, in Europe, passers-by really enjoy seeing me, but I’m not sure how it will be in Japan. Some people might like it, but others might find it uncomfortable.

Sunset at American Village

This is Sunset Depot Island. I think I’ve gathered most of the photos and information needed to write a special feature on American Village. Introducing American Village requires a lot of material.

The Sunset at American Village Sunset Beach

All the filming is now complete. I took a few photos for the blog post and then took a short break in the car. I was planning to go into the café, but it was already full. Typically, from 6 PM to 8 PM every Saturday, most restaurants and cafés are packed.

The appearance of Depot Island on a Saturday evening

It’s around 7 PM at Depot Island. It’s getting busier with more people arriving.

Waiting for the Fireworks

For dinner, I just had some zero cola and rolled omelette. Even though I tried to enter a restaurant… there were no seats available.

Night view of Depot Island

About five minutes before the fireworks display. I think it’s quite nice to watch the fireworks while having a meal in a spot like this. A prime location in its own way.

American Village Fireworks

You can catch a glimpse of the fireworks every Saturday at 8 PM on Depot Island. They might not be grand, but they certainly add a special touch to your trip, don’t they? [Official Site]

The scene of people moving after the fireworks display

After watching the fireworks, I’m on my way to the car park. There are so many people here. Since I arrived at the American Village at 10 in the morning, I managed to park in a really good spot, so I was able to leave quickly. In fact, by noon, there are no good parking spots left in the American Village. I bet there’s no space in the public car park next to Starbucks either.
Anyway, it did get a bit cooler in the evening. There was a brief shower around 8:30, which might be the reason.

As for the weather forecast… Although Typhoon No. 16 has formed, it has nothing to do with Okinawa, and looking at the 10-day weather forecast… it’s just going to be hot with no significant rain expected.

That’s it for the Okinawa weather report on 6th September 2025. I’ll be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
