Weather in Okinawa on September 18th

☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 18th September 2025.
Today in Okinawa… it was extremely hot. The sunshine was intense, and there was only a gentle breeze throughout the day. Apart from a brief squall in the northern Kouri Island area in the morning, there was no rain to be seen in other regions. Although there were some clouds, they weren’t enough to block the sun, making it a perfect day for snorkelling or swimming. The highest temperature was 33°C, and the lowest was 28°C.

Today’s video features the northern Kouri Island, Bise Saki, and the American Village.

Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

The Morning View of Kouri Island

This morning’s view of Kouri Island. I originally planned to visit a place called Shiraasa Restaurant, but… although there was no information about it being closed today, the shop wasn’t open. So, I took a little stroll and enjoyed myself. By the way, the centre of Kouri Island doesn’t have good reception, so the internet wasn’t working well. It was quite fascinating.

Okinawa Weather 18th September 2025 Kouri Beach

After having lunch on Kouri Island, I came out for a meeting. As they said they would be late, I took some weather photos at Kouri Beach. There weren’t many people for a Thursday afternoon. It wasn’t until around 2 PM that it started to get busier.

Kouri Island Nobi Hamburger Food Truck

This is the NoBi Burger Shop. It’s incredibly delicious. If you come to Kouri Island, it’s a place I highly recommend visiting.

Today's view of Kouri Bridge

I need to write an article introducing Kouri Beach, so I’m gathering photo materials as well. The plugin is almost ready, and once the location information feature is updated, many introductory articles will be posted. I’m planning to cover Miyakojima at the same time too.

The sun was intense on Kouri Island.

After wandering around for about 20 minutes… I’m sweating a lot. It was pleasantly cool in the evening, but at noon, it’s really too hot.

Refreshing Matcha

I sip on a refreshing barley tea. I really like this. Even after finishing it, it’s still hot.

Hermit crab

While walking along the beach taking photos, I spotted a hermit crab and snapped a picture. I really enjoy capturing photos of children observing wildlife during Okinawa snap photography sessions.

Rice Ball Factory Menu

This is the menu from a place called Kouri Island Rice Ball Factory. I’m taking a picture in advance as I might need it later. They sell a lot of ice cream, so if you need something refreshing, do pay them a visit [Google Map]

Afternoon View of Bise Saki

After finishing filming on Kouri Island, we moved to Bisezaki. It’s quite hot here at Bisezaki too. It feels hotter because the wind seems weaker than on Kouri Island. Bisezaki is shallow enough for children to snorkel, so the kids are having a blast.

Okinawa Zenzai

During the shoot, a customer kindly offered me an Okinawa Zenzai, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It was refreshing and delightful.

The intense sunlight and the appearance of Iye Island

After the shoot, I capture a glimpse of Iejima. Even at this moment, it’s quite hot and I’m sweating a lot.

The appearance of Bise Fukugi Path

This is Bise Fukugi Road, and I’m taking some photos to use later when I write an article introducing Bisezaki.

Okinawa Weather 18th September 2025 Depot Island Sunset

The evening shoot took place at the American Village. Today’s sunset was magnificent. I had to focus on the client shoot, so I only have two sunset photos for weather purposes.

The sunset at Sunset Beach

Today, after finishing the final shoot, I captured the sunset at Sunset Beach. Even though it’s not the holiday season, there are many tourists, and it feels like the holiday season will never end. It’s quite crowded.

Halloween products

We went to the nearby Aeon Mall to do some shopping, and it seems the Halloween season is already approaching. It’s amazing how quickly time flies living here in Okinawa.

Typhoon Information for No. 18 and No. 19

Typhoon Information for Typhoon No. 18 and No. 19

For the next 10 days, it will still be hot on the main island of Okinawa, but there are occasional showers expected. Additionally, a tropical depression has formed that might develop into Typhoon No. 18 or 19. While it won’t affect the main island of Okinawa, it could impact Ishigaki Island or Miyako Island, so please take this into account when planning your trip.

That’s all for the Okinawa weather report for 18th September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
