Weather in Okinawa on September 23rd
☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Here’s the Okinawa weather report for 23rd September 2025.
Today in Okinawa was another hot and intense day. The highest temperature was 33°C, and the lowest was 29°C, marking the second highest temperature of the year. However, it was a peculiar day as the strong winds made it feel both hot and cool at the same time. There was a brief, intense shower for about 10 minutes early in the morning, and in the afternoon, there were two instances of light drizzle lasting about 5 minutes each.

It was around 8 o’clock this morning, I believe. The morning sunlight was definitely nice… then suddenly, the view outside turned white, and it started pouring down rain intensely. It lasted for about 5 minutes, very short but heavy. After that, a very clear day began.

I had some work to do, so I visited a hotel called Busena Terrace in the north for business. It’s really nice here as they have bottled water in the lobby. I think it’s a great place for a family holiday. You can visit the northern Churaumi or Kouri Island in about an hour, and it’s centrally located in Okinawa, so you can reach Naha Airport within 1 to 1.5 hours when departing later.

This is the view of the first-floor lobby at Busena Terrace. It seems they’ve done a splendid job creating it.

After finishing work at Busena Terrace, I’m on my way to American Village. There was a bit of rain in the middle, but it stopped within 10 minutes. It wasn’t enough to worry about.

This is the view of Sunset Beach at American Village. For some reason, there are a lot of food trucks around these days. During the peak summer holiday season in August, there was only one, but now there are four food trucks operating. The prices aren’t particularly cheap.

It seems like there aren’t many people at the beach, but for a Wednesday, this is quite a lot. Once the weekend comes, it gets really crowded.

When I was at the northern Busena Terrace, the waves were gentle, making the water clear and beautiful… However, in the central region, the waves and wind were strong, so the seawater was a bit murky. It was difficult to capture the emerald feel of the sea in this area.

After finishing the first task of the afternoon, I had dinner. I was fasting for 44 hours… It was too tough, so I decided to eat before reaching 48 hours. Posting about Okinawa’s best eateries meant I was eating a lot of carbs and fried foods every day, which led to significant weight gain. If you come to Japan, you’ll likely gain weight too.

This is an info centre I left before the evening work. The weather is still really nice.

I’ve completed all my plans. Before heading home, I captured the view of the sea in front of the American Village. There were quite a lot of people who came to watch the sunset. It’s a Wednesday today, but it feels like peak season.

It was mentioned that Bise Saki and Emerald Beach don’t seem to have many people… but this place is quite crowded. Perhaps it’s due to the cruise ships, though I’m not entirely sure. After all, having lots of tourists helps boost the local economy 😀
Okinawa Weather Forecast

Here is the 10-day weather forecast for Okinawa.
Except for September 30th, there is no rain forecast for the main island, just heat. Notably, on October 1st, the temperature is expected to be 31°C, indicating that from October, the temperature will slightly decrease. However, it still feels like summer. [Source: Japan Weather News]
I will be on a business trip to Miyako Island from tomorrow, the 24th, until October 1st. It seems the weather will be very hot with little rain.

Typhoon No. 18 and Typhoon No. 19 have become completely unrelated to Okinawa, and although there is a tropical depression that might develop into Typhoon No. 20, it also has no connection to Okinawa. Observing the typhoon paths daily, one can see that the Philippines is indeed a country that suffers a lot from typhoon damage.
If there are any new typhoons or weather anomalies that might affect Okinawa, I will prepare a weather report a bit in advance.
This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 23rd September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and return tomorrow with more Okinawa weather news. Matayasai 👋
