Weather in Okinawa on September 28th

☀️ Haisai! It’s CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 28th September 2025.
To talk about today’s weather, it was extremely hot. It was the hottest day I’ve experienced since arriving in Miyakojima. Just a short walk made me sweat like it was raining, and my T-shirt stayed damp all day. Of course, if you go by car and enjoy the air conditioning, it dries quickly, and looking at it another way, it’s still great weather for swimming. The temperature reached a high of 33°C and a low of 28°C.

Today’s video is a compilation of several clips filmed while exploring Miyakojima.

Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

A flower blooming on the wall

This is a photo taken in the morning. I found it fascinating that flowers were blooming on the wall, so I snapped a picture. Miyakojima is still in summer. October will also feel like summer, and November will be a slightly cooler summer. The time when the heat truly fades is around December, January, and February. However, it’s not cold at all.

The Fruits of Miyakojima

I’m not quite sure, but seeing the ripe fruits, it seems it really is summer. Also, in Miyakojima, you can easily observe banana stalks. Though not as much as sugarcane.

Okinawa Weather 28th September 2025 Miyakojima Beach

While travelling for work, I took a moment to park and snap some photos of the weather. There are quite a few people here enjoying leisurely marine activities. From what I’ve heard from the locals in Miyakojima, this place hasn’t yet become a destination for Chinese tourists. Most visitors are Japanese, and although there are direct flights from Korea, the proportion of foreign tourists is lower compared to Okinawa’s main island.

Miyakojima Irabu Bridge

This is a photo of the sea of Miyakojima taken from Irabu Bridge. The open and emerald sea is incredibly captivating, but the sunlight here is intense. I’m sweating buckets. Although there was some wind, today it was quite mild.

A sunny afternoon

Today was so busy that I didn’t have much time to take photos or videos of the weather, so I’m recording Okinawa’s weather with these pictures. My goal is to fill up the entire year without missing a single day.

The secluded Maja Beach in Miyakojima

The last stop was Maja Beach, located on the east side of Miyakojima. It’s a rather secluded spot, which might explain the abundance of debris washed up by the typhoon. It was clear that the rubbish wasn’t due to human carelessness but had been swept ashore. The beach is beautiful, but the litter was a bit of a letdown. Walking about 200 metres along the beach, it was incredibly hot. It would have been nice to cool off in the water, but I had to leave for my next task, leaving behind a sense of regret.

This concludes the Okinawa weather report for 28th September 2025. I’ll wrap it up here and will be back tomorrow with more weather updates from Okinawa Miyakojima. Matayasai 👋
