Weather in Okinawa on October 4th
☀️ Haisai! This is CULT.
Starting the Okinawa weather report for 4th October 2025.
Today in Okinawa, it wasn’t as hot as yesterday, but it was certainly a warm and sultry day. There were more clouds than yesterday, but none directly above me, so I worked under the intense sun all day, and with the wind being quite weak, it was definitely a rather sticky day. The temperature reached a high of 33°C and a low of 28°C. As I’ll mention later, a tropical depression that could develop into Typhoon No. 22 has formed east of Okinawa.

Today’s Okinawa weather video clip is also quite short. However, you can quickly get a sense of what Okinawa looked like today.
Photos of Today’s Okinawa Weather

This is the view of Sunset Beach at American Village in the morning. As it was low tide, the water had receded… The water level was so low that it would be difficult to drown. There were even people playing beach volleyball in the sea.

From the morning, people dressed in wolf costumes were wandering around, which made my day quite challenging. The children needed to take family photos, but they couldn’t see me. We didn’t take many, but because of the cute wolf costumes, today’s shoots were particularly tough. [Okinawa Snap Photography]

Since there’s a little break until the next shoot, I take a few photos. This is the view of Sunset Beach, and naturally, as it’s summer, tourists are dressed lightly. In Okinawa, wearing long clothes can feel quite warm even at night.

Had a bit of spare time, so I popped into Starbucks to do some photo editing. This is an espresso doppio… it’s like a single shot with double the water. Honestly, in Okinawa, you’re better off visiting a local café. The coffee there is much tastier than Starbucks.

This is a scene from the afternoon shoot. It’s the view of the West Sea from American Village. There were a few clouds, but they quickly disappeared, and the intense sun shone down again.

This is the scene after the afternoon shoot. On Saturdays, many tourists gather early because there are fireworks in the evening.

That’s the wolf costume in question.
I mainly photograph babies, and they just can’t take their eyes off that wolf costume. So, today’s shoot was quite challenging. It’s 33 degrees now, and I’m worried the people inside the costume might be exhausted.

After the afternoon shoot, I’m heading for a short break. There aren’t too many people at Sunset Beach yet. Well, this isn’t exactly the best spot for watching fireworks. You need to head to the opposite beach for that.

There is a vending machine selling barley tea for 100 yen, so I always drink barley tea from there. Of course, it’s also sold at Lawson convenience stores, but it’s always sold out, so I use the vending machine, even though it’s a bit more expensive. I really like barley tea.

On the way home after finishing all the filming in the evening. The fireworks are drawing a huge crowd. We need to leave before the fireworks start. As everyone was heading to Depot Island, leaving was easy and the road back to Naha was smooth and without any congestion.

This is my T-shirt after returning home. Those white patterns are sweat. I sweated a lot today and had a fulfilling day.
Okinawa Weather Forecast

A tropical depression has formed in the eastern part of Okinawa, which could develop into Typhoon No. 22 Halong. There is a very high chance it will develop into a typhoon within 24 hours, and there is a 14% chance it could make landfall on the main island of Okinawa. Various forecasts suggest it could reach the main island of Okinawa or sharply turn northwards. The expected intensity is 3, indicating it could become quite a strong typhoon. We will compile and upload new information as it becomes available.

Here is the 10-day weather forecast for Okinawa.
Originally, it was expected to be a series of very hot days with no rain in sight, but due to the tropical depression mentioned earlier potentially developing into a typhoon, there is a forecast for rain starting from October 8th. It is still uncertain whether this typhoon will hit Okinawa, so the weather forecast may change tomorrow or the day after. I will update with new information as it becomes available.
That’s all for the Okinawa weather report on October 4th, 2025. I’ll wrap up here and will be back with more Okinawa weather news tomorrow. Matayasai 👋
