October 31st Okinawa Weather

Starting the Okinawa weather report for 31st October 2025.
Today, the weather in Okinawa was generally clear and sunny. It seems like it’s been almost 10 days since we’ve had such good sunshine. The weather had been quite poor since last weekend, but it feels like it’s calmed down now. In the afternoon, there was a brief but heavy shower lasting about 20 minutes, which made it quite humid, so although it wasn’t particularly hot, it was a sweaty afternoon.

This is the scene of Kokusai Street around lunchtime.
It wasn’t particularly hot before the rain, but after it rained, it became incredibly humid, and I was sweating profusely. Although I managed to avoid getting caught in the rain, the humidity made me sweat even more.

It’s evening on Kokusai Street. It’s Friday afternoon and perhaps because it’s Halloween, there were many people in costumes wandering around. I suppose there would be more interesting people in American Village than in Naha. Unfortunately, I don’t have any plans to visit American Village today.

In the evening, it has become quite cool, and I noticed many people wearing thin but long clothing. When the wind blows, it feels very refreshing to me.

If you see men wearing long clothes, it would be a good idea to pack a light windbreaker or cardigan when travelling to Okinawa. The wind can make it feel cooler than the actual temperature.

I originally planned to have yakitori with a friend, but it was fully booked, so we went somewhere else. There’s a delicious izakaya I know, and I’ll introduce it to you next time.

After having a meal and a drink at the izakaya, I went to karaoke and sang a song. I drank quite a bit, and while walking home, I felt, “It’s been almost 12 hours since it rained, yet it still feels humid, doesn’t it?”

In the evenings, it can get breezy, so if you feel the cold easily, it would be good to have some light, long clothing to cover up.
