Hi, I’m author S.

These are photos from a photo shoot at Bisezaki in Okinawa in December 2025. Why didn’t I post many photos in 2025? Well.. my schedule was way too busy that year.. and if I posted, I’d only get busier.. so I didn’t.

HighlightsAn outdoor photo shoot following a child running and playing at Bisezaki Beach and on the Bise Fukugi tree-lined path in northern Okinawa. A shoot in the north was 300,000 KRW for 1 hour, with 20 edited photos and 300 original photos. I'm not currently taking bookings for Okinawa photo shoots.

Bisezaki Beach

We started with shots of the family sitting and walking against the sky.

A mother and father crouch under the blue sky at Bisezaki Beach, kissing their child.

The shoot starts at Bisezaki Beach with sitting against the sky, a variation on walking against the sky. I first tried this back in 2012 at Olympic Park (올림픽공원).. I got a lot of mileage out of it in Prague, and I used it to good effect in Okinawa too.

In this close-up, a child smiles against the blue sky while the mother and father look at them.

I work in some close-ups like this too.
Blue sky and blue clothes go together really well, I think.

A mother and father stand side by side under the blue sky, with their child between them.

Photos like this are very easy to get at Bisezaki. Seems like taking photos is easy anywhere by the sea..

A child comes running joyfully along the walkway, with the mother and father running after them.

When the kid runs.. the photographer runs too. That’s just how a photo shoot works.

A father, a child and a mother walk along the sand at Bisezaki Beach.

I leave some of the waves in the frame too.
When I see a vivid blue sky like this, I always try to keep the shot harmonious.

A father and mother crouch beside a child who is writing in the sand.

On a sandy beach, there’s a very high chance the kids will start playing in the sand. Then I send mom and dad in to join them.
I really do think kids look their best when I let them set the pace.

The family sits together on the sand in front of the emerald sea.

If a shot had failed, I wouldn’t have selected it, would I?
These days I cull really fast too, so my turnaround is quick. Between shoots, I start culling right away over a coffee, you see?
Honestly.. culling is exhausting. So I do it right after each shoot..

The family walks along a low wall on the coastal promenade, holding the child's hand.

What are they so excited about..

Bise Fukugi Tree-Lined Path

We passed through a tunnel of trees and moved on to the tree-lined path.

Butt dance in progress…

It’s December.. but it feels like July or August..
Okinawa has.. no winter.

A mother, a child and a father walk along the Bise Fukugi tree-lined path.

In November, woodland mosquitoes were still around on the Bise Fukugi path, so I often kept the family moving and only took photos of them walking.

A mother and father walk on the road, holding the child's hands.

Of course, I didn’t ask for that. They suddenly jumped, so I grabbed the shot quickly.

Waterside and Rocky Beach

We wrapped up at the beach, where the tide was high.

A mother and father stand holding the child's hand beside the water next to some steps, with sunbeams in the sky.

Of all days, it was high tide.. so we couldn’t see the coral reef and the blue fish. At least there was a game of running back and forth with the waves..

A mother and father stand on the rocky beach holding the child, with the Orion hotel in the distance.

The building in the background is the Orion hotel. A fantastic hotel for photos..
For what it’s worth, I’ve photographed kids at all kinds of resorts, and Orion Motobu there is excellent too, and Busena Terrace and Moon Beach Palace were the best.

In this close-up, a mother and father smile as they hold the child, with the sea and beach behind them.

I hope they’re always healthy and happy.

Booking Info

I’m not currently taking bookings for Okinawa photo shoots.

I’m not currently taking bookings for Okinawa photo shoots. These photos were taken in December 2025, and this portfolio shows the kind of feel I go for at a place with the sea. Photo shoots in Gyeongju are in full swing now, and I’m continuing to expand to other areas. This kind of feel is entirely possible in Korea too, and my base is Tongyeong, Geoje, Changwon, and western Busan 😀
