Late-summer daylight and sunset, from Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) to Charles Bridge (Karlův most)

Hi, I’m author S.
Today’s Prague photo shoot is a 2-hour daylight and sunset session.
Looking back at the shoot, I think I planned a pretty brilliant route. I found I could now cover in 2 hours the places that used to take more than 3 hours to photograph. I barely ran over, either. Once you’ve been at it long enough,, you get this fast. Well,, once I’ve got a good shot, I just move on without overthinking it.
I split the 2-hour shoot into separate sessions. Splitting the 2-hour daylight and sunset shoot into 1 hour of daylight and 1 hour at sunset cost an extra 50,000 KRW. I had to head out twice, after all ~_~

Prague Photo Shoot Summary

We explored Prague in separate daylight and sunset sessions.

●Prague Photo Shoot
Prague has too many places to photograph to spend ages in one spot.

Duration2 hours
Group Size2 people
Deliverables30 edited photos, 400 original photos

HighlightsI can now cover in 2 hours a route that used to take more than 3 hours. Once I've got a good shot, I head straight to the next spot, but I keep every horizontal and vertical line perfectly straight.
Things to NoteAt Mánes Bridge (Mánesův most), there were so many people in the background that I chose a close-up instead of a full-length photo.

Daylight Photos

We start at Prague Castle (Pražský hrad), pass spots with lovely views and head down into the city.

We start at Prague Castle (Pražský hrad).
Back when I worked for a company, the route from Our Lady of Exile to the Royal Garden (Královská zahrada) took 3 hours, but now I can cover it in 1 hour -_-;;
You might think, ‘Aren’t you just rushing through it?’ Have a look at the photos and judge for yourself,,

Seen from behind, the couple look down over Prague between the columns.

I don’t like spending too long taking photos in one spot.
Prague has so many beautiful views. Why waste them all? That’s why I’ve never liked people telling me to take lots of different shots in one place. One thing about my outlook on life has never changed. “Life’s so damn short.”

Got to keep moving.
Your time in Prague is short, and there are so many places to see and take photos.

A quick shoot, but every horizontal and vertical line is dead straight! Steady as a rock -_ -+

These colors are trendy lately, so I uploaded the bonus versions I gave the couple. My standard photos have natural colors; these filtered versions are the ‘extras.’ To me, photographers who rely on filters haven’t figured out their own color style. Give it a little time and this look will go out of fashion and feel as cringey as old Cyworld photos.
Still, I kept the filter as subtle as possible here,,

I’ve been taking a lot of walking shots like this lately.

The couple stand facing each other beneath an overcast sky.

Walking against the sky,, looks much prettier with natural colors than with a filter like this, I think 😀

Nose, nose, nose, nose, nose, nose, nose, nose!

Sunset Photos

As sunset begins, we also take photos at Charles Bridge (Karlův most) and along the river.

There are chains along the bottom of the photo, but I just edit them all out.
Reason 1) They look messy.
Reason 2) I hate looking at them.

The couple are on a street as a tram passes around sunset.

Sunset begins.

The couple cross the street at a crosswalk in front of a church lit by the sunset.

Time for sunset photos
See that texture in the groom’s black trousers? That’s called grain, and it works well in filtered photos if you’re wearing all black. I can create my own color style, so I don’t recommend all-black outfits in Prague. It’s such a bright city. You get lost in the ci,,
Of course, at Sarangbi Snap, I give the landmarks more prominence than the people. That way, even 10 or 20 years later, you can still say it was Prague.

A candid shot at Charles Bridge (Karlův most)
When I lived in Korea, I did a lot of what they call celebrity airport fashion photography, or supposedly sneaking photos of celebrities while posing as a fan. The celebrities had their next appointment to get to, so these supposedly spontaneous shots, arranged with their managers, really had to be done in one go. Mess it up and I’d get an earful from both the advertiser and the agency. I think working under that kind of pressure is what made these undirected, one-take shots possible -_-;;

The coolest playground in the world

Prague skill level +1

Zoom in and you’ll see much more detail.
Now that’s a photo that says you’ve been to Prague.

I hadn’t prepared a blog thumbnail, so this one will do,,

Anyone looking at the photo should know it’s Prague 😀

The groom lifts the bride in front of a riverside railing, with Charles Bridge (Karlův most) behind them.

For the record, I didn’t ask them to do this. They suddenly did it, so I was quick with the camera. Yep.

The couple smile with their arms linked, with Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) behind them.

This was a walking shot on Mánes Bridge (Mánesův most), and I usually choose full-length photos,, but none worked out,, too many weird people around,, and aside from the crowds, I didn’t like the colors of the clothes people in the background were wearing. There were too many people to comfortably edit them all out, so I ended up choosing a close-up I hadn’t planned on.

A super, super, super clean-looking photo 😀

The couple kiss beside a streetlamp and a railing.

I’ve had lots of requests for this shot lately 😀
The key is to emphasize the streetlamp without letting it steal the show!

The wind helped show off that slim silhouette

My usual shot at Aleš Embankment (Alšovo nábřeží)

The mayor of Prague has put up so damn many traffic signs everywhere that editing them out is a job in itself. I really can’t stand the current mayor.
Clean photos of Prague that put the city at the heart of your travel memories!
Wishing you both lasting health and happiness. It was a pleasure spending this time with you!

Booking Information

I still don’t know when I’ll be doing photo shoots in Prague again.

The daylight and sunset shoot used to cost 350,000 KRW for 2 hours, with 30 edited photos and 400 original photos. Splitting it into 1 hour of daylight and 1 hour at sunset cost an extra 50,000 KRW. I’m not currently taking bookings for photo shoots in Prague. I’ll post a separate announcement if dates are arranged.
