A winter photo shoot in Prague with a touch of mist and a Christmas tree

Hi, I’m author S.
I thought about showing you photos from a mild day.. but photos taken in lovely weather are bound to look pretty.. so I’ll show you a shoot from a day when the weather was at its worst 😀

Two people take a selfie on a phone in front of the John Lennon Wall (Lennonova zeď).

Prague Winter Photo Shoot Summary

I chose photos from a day with bad weather, but those beautiful smiles make it all work.

●Winter Photo Shoot in Prague
The weather was bad, but the smiles were still there. At night, I photographed them with the Christmas tree.

HighlightsThey started with selfies at the John Lennon Wall (Lennonova zeď), then walked to the riverside overlooking Charles Bridge (Karlův most). I took photos along the way too, and somehow we ended up at the Christmas market in Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) at night.
Things to NoteI'm not currently taking bookings for photo shoots in Prague. If I resume them, I'll post a separate announcement.

Today’s photos start with selfies at the John Lennon Wall (Lennonova zeď). Cute right from the start 😀

I photographed them at AquaMare with Charles Bridge (Karlův most) in the background.
The weather was so bad.. I really had to work hard to get these shots. Those beautiful smiles make it all work.

Normally, you shouldn’t block a shop doorway for photos like this.. but no one was there, so I sneak in a shot and make a quick getaway.
I shoot from the side rather than straight on, to disrupt business as little as possible 😀

I always like coming to Cihelná. The weather was pretty bad.. but I think shooting in the worst conditions might be what really proves a photographer’s skill.

Hmm.. I demonstrated this pose myself, and she followed along really well.
On longer shoots, with people who follow my demonstrations well, I used to try poses from the dance to Orange Caramel’s “Catallena” too.

These are candid shots I took along the way.
This is why I always stressed not bringing bags to a shoot. With bags to look after.. I’d usually pass up opportunities for photos like these. Because.. keeping the bags from getting lost becomes the first priority, rather than taking good photos.

With the weather so bad.. I go for shots like this. The tram beside them is a bonus 😀

There was even.. a little mist that day :'(

Somehow this turned into a night shoot.. we ended up at the Christmas market in Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí). It’s late at night, but the photos still look crisp and bright ^___^*

Two women smile in front of a giant Christmas tree.

I capture the end-of-year atmosphere with the giant tree that’s such a symbol of Prague’s Christmas market.

I have plenty of photos of the two of them together, but I want to keep today’s post short, so I’ll only share a small selection 😀
These photos have that unmistakable visiting-Prague feel!

The last photos from today’s Prague shoot were at the market. I’d planned to photograph them here with hot drinks.. but the stall next door didn’t take cards.. so in the end, I took the photos like this. Such a shame.. :'(
There’s a photo with me in it too.. but I never received it, which is a real shame. If you happen to see this, please send it my way..
Anyway, I had a lovely time photographing you both. Wishing you good health and all the best in everything you do. Thank you.

Let’s capture happy memories of your trip to Prague together.
