Today, I spent the entire day in the northern part of Okinawa, so here’s a weather update from there. I spent the day around Bise Saki, Kouri Island, and Nago, and it was truly hot today. The forecast predicted 31 degrees, but it felt like it was easily 35 degrees.
A tsunami warning was issued across Japan today. Although there was no tsunami in Okinawa, the waves were noticeably higher than usual. Fortunately, there was no significant damage, but all marine activities and beach access were prohibited.
How about grabbing a packed lunch before heading north along Route 58? Doesn’t it sound wonderful to find a spot you like during your drive and enjoy your lunch there? It’s tastier than convenience store options, and you can savour a bento from Ei-chan Tempura, just like the locals in Okinawa do.
