Weather in Northern Okinawa on July 31st
Today, I spent the entire day in the northern part of Okinawa, so here’s a weather update from there. I spent the day around Bise Saki, Kouri Island, and Nago, and it was truly hot today. The forecast predicted 31 degrees, but it felt like it was easily 35 degrees.

Okinawa Weather on 30th July
A tsunami warning was issued across Japan today. Although there was no tsunami in Okinawa, the waves were noticeably higher than usual. Fortunately, there was no significant damage, but all marine activities and beach access were prohibited.

Eichan Tempura (えいちゃんてんぷら)
How about grabbing a packed lunch before heading north along Route 58? Doesn’t it sound wonderful to find a spot you like during your drive and enjoy your lunch there? It’s tastier than convenience store options, and you can savour a bento from Ei-chan Tempura, just like the locals in Okinawa do.

Today, the weather in Okinawa showcased a very beautiful sky in the morning, but from the afternoon, it started to rain a little. After that, it wasn’t raining enough to be bothersome, but there was a fine drizzle throughout, making it a cloudy day. Typhoon No. 8, Komai, has completely moved away from Okinawa.

Okinawa Weather on 28th July
Today’s weather in Okinawa was indirectly affected by the remnants of the typhoon Komai. Although the typhoon had already passed and didn’t have a significant impact, there was a light drizzle starting from 4 PM, which continued as a thin rain until late in the evening.

Weather in Okinawa on July 27th
Today in Okinawa, it rained heavily throughout the morning, so much so that we received emergency alerts. However, from the afternoon, the rain gradually started to ease, and by evening, it wasn’t raining at all. Typhoon Krosa, the ninth of the season, is having no impact on Okinawa.

Today in Okinawa, the morning was filled with blue skies and beautiful clouds, but from noon, there was a lot of rain. The forecast predicted heavy rain from 3 PM due to the influence of Typhoon Komai, but in reality, the heavy rain started from 2 PM and began to ease from 3 PM. Overall, it was a day with light winds.

Okinawa Weather on 25th July
Today in Okinawa, the weather was mostly clear with blue skies during the day, but from the evening, it occasionally rained. There was a brief downpour lasting about 10 minutes, followed by intermittent drizzles. We are not yet experiencing the effects of Typhoon Komai No. 8.

Weather in Okinawa on July 24th
Today, Okinawa was under the indirect influence of Typhoon Francisco, the seventh typhoon of the season. Around noon, there was heavy rain, and it was windy throughout the day, with rain falling for most of the afternoon. There were also some flight cancellations.

Today’s weather in Okinawa was characterised by a very clear and beautiful sky, along with sporadic showers typical of a squall climate. As the afternoon progressed, the intervals between sunshine and rain shortened, and by evening, a continuous drizzle accompanied us.
