A day completely away from Komai, Okinawa Weather, 29th July 2025

Today, there aren’t many photos of the Okinawa weather. Since I have a busy schedule with Okinawa snaps for the next five days, I decided to take it easy and stay close to home today. That’s my excuse, and every time I tried to go out to take weather photos, the rain got heavier, so I ended up coming back inside to rest. The temperature was a high of 31°C and a low of 27°C.

Here’s a brief video of today’s weather in Okinawa. The morning was really beautiful, and I planned to go out to take some weather photos during lunch. However, a light drizzle started to fall. I tried three times, but it kept raining continuously each time…

Miebashi After the Little Typhoon

This is the view of Miebashi with the blue morning sky. Despite the typhoon last week, it seems like the rain stopped just when I was doing my snap shoots… Perhaps because I’ve been working non-stop, without any cancellations, I’m feeling a bit tired. My luck has been incredibly good… I wanted to take a break today, but I’m getting ready to head out. Anyway, the thought of capturing beautiful Okinawa weather in photos is already lifting my spirits a bit.

This is the morning view of Miebashi. I was just on my way back from buying a drink. There was definitely a forecast for rain today, but the weather was surprisingly nice.

After having lunch at Mikado, I was planning to go for a ride to Naminoue, but the weather wasn’t on my side as it was raining quite a bit. I wanted to take a break today, so I just snapped a few weather photos and headed back in.

Well, even so… just resting doesn’t seem quite right. I looked out the window and saw the rain had stopped, so I picked up my camera and went out again, only for it to start raining once more.
Yes, today is definitely a day when I shouldn’t be going out. The rain is clearly telling me to stay in, so why push it? I decided to take it easy at home today.

And today, my first meal was at 5 PM… I found that convenience store bento boxes were half-price. These two cost 650 yen… It was my first time realising that the kanji meant ‘half-price’. Thanks to this, I had a fulfilling day learning the kanji for ‘half-price’.
Tomorrow, I have a snap photography schedule at the American Village in Okinawa. The UV index will be at its peak, with an 81% chance of rain and an expected rainfall of 8.5mm… It will probably just be a brief shower and mostly clear. I’ve been giving quite detailed weather forecasts for a few days, but it seems there’s no need to continue doing so for now. There’s no typhoon, and even if it rains, it will be just a little, so I don’t see the point in explaining further. Just… feel free to come and enjoy your trip to Okinawa.
