Crème de la Crème: Serious About Gelato in Prague
A gelato shop in Prague founded by someone who takes gelato seriously
Dobrý den! I’m CULT.
Today, let’s talk about Crème de la Crème, a gelato shop that’s been doing so well it keeps expanding.
Its gelato factory is in Prague too, and the gelato is handmade. I think it’s the best in Prague.

Crème de la Crème at a Glance
The handmade gelato comes in lots of flavors, and even a medium is quite a generous serving.

Anyway.. it was cool today, not hot, so I could walk straight in without waiting in line. As soon as the sun gets a bit intense,, the line here gets really long. That’s how good it is.

There are.. so many flavors. Just pick whatever you like.
It’s all handmade gelato.. some flavors have alcohol in them, and those have a bottle of alcohol on top to let you know.
The founder went to gelato school in Italy, set up a gelato museum, started a gelato franchise and organizes gelato events. Now that’s someone who takes gelato seriously -_-

I usually like vanilla, but when I’m combining flavors, I start with coffee. It’s such a safe choice, which is why I like it.
Today I switched things up from my usual order.

The prices are 64 CZK for a small, 109 CZK for a medium and 149 CZK for a large.
You can choose a cone or a cup. I always go for a cup. I’m always carrying a camera.. and I really can’t stand getting anything on my hands. Touch the camera with sticky hands.. and a few days later, the aperture ring won’t turn..

Inside.. it’s just a café. They actually sell café drinks on the side too.

I ordered a medium. Really good 😀

The serving is quite generous.
It’s a good spot, so do give it a try.
The official Crème de la Crème website lists the gelato salon on Národní Street (Národní) as open, with hours of 11:00–22:30 (checked on November 2, 2026). I found no news of a closure, but I could not confirm current prices because the official website does not list them. The prices in this post are from July 2024, so please check current prices before visiting.
That’s it for today’s quick post!
