Sandwich Rodeo: I’d Pick the Beef in Prague

American-style sandwiches with stretchy cheese between thick slices of bread

Dobrý den! I’m CULT.
Today, it’s American-style sandwiches. You get tired of eating nothing but Czech food, right? Time to mix things up with food from elsewhere. There’s a pretty good place for that. Sandwich Rodeo!

The entrance to Sandwich Rodeo and its outdoor tables are on a street corner.

ProsThe chicken sandwich has soft, fluffy bread, and the cheese stretches out when you open up the beef patty melty. I couldn't shake the feeling that the interior looked like the diner on Overwatch's Route 66 map.
ConsThe food took a while to arrive because they were busy preparing meals for the customers at the outdoor tables.

It’s in the Prague 7 district, a good place to stop after taking in the views of Prague from Letná Park (Letenské sady).
It’s around the middle of Milady Horákové Street (Milady Horákové). The street name is a bit like having a Yu Gwan-sun Street in Korea. It’s named after a Czech female politician who was executed for resisting communism.

A sign in English asks customers to wait to be seated.

This is another popular place. A member of staff will show you to a table when you come in.

Fries and sandwiches sit on a customer's table covered with a checked tablecloth.

There are quite a few customers even though I’ve come at an odd hour on a weekday. Weekends are chaos,,

Bottles of hot sauce and salt and pepper shakers sit on the counter.

It didn’t look that busy,, turns out everyone was at the outdoor tables -_-;;
So the food took a while to arrive because they were busy preparing meals for those customers. The interior,, looks like the diner you start in when attacking on Overwatch’s Route 66 map.

The Sandwich Rodeo menu lists sandwiches and other dishes.

I ordered the Superior Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Beef Patty Melty Sandwich. As far as I know, if an American dish has ‘melty’ in the name, it comes with melted cheese. I’ve traveled to various continents,, but the Americas are the only ones I haven’t been to, so I don’t really know -_-

The interior has red leather chairs and checked tablecloths.

I just can’t unsee Overwatch’s Route 66 map here,,

Staff prepare sandwiches in the kitchen.

The food isn’t here yet, so I’m taking some photos of the place. They’re hard at work,, just,, so many customers,,

Cherry lemonade and a Coke Zero are served.

A Coke Zero and a cherry lemonade. If you see the word limo while traveling in Czechia, just think of it as something like lemonade.

Two sandwiches are served on plates.

The food took a while, but here it is at last. The bread is sliced so thick it reminds me of the bread I had in Japan.

I was surprised the first time I saw incredibly thick slices of bread at a supermarket on a trip to Japan, and now here they are again. Is this originally an American thing? I honestly don’t know ~_~

The cut side of the sandwich shows chicken and cabbage inside.

Open it up, and there’s cabbage and chicken inside. It’s just good. The bread is soft and fluffy too 😀

This is the Beef Patty Melty Sandwich.
I’ve had something similar at Isaac Toast.

Long strands of cheese stretch between the slices of bread in the beef patty melty.

Pull the bread apart and the cheese goes on and ooon
Both were tasty. If I had to pick just one, I think I’d go for the beef patty melty sandwich.

The inside of a sandwich cut in half is visible.

I’ve been eating a lot less while losing weight, but even so, I wasn’t all that full. So that’s why the server asked if I wanted fries with it,,

The receipt lists two sandwiches and two drinks.

The bill was 664 CZK, and I rounded it up to 700 CZK with the tip.

Google Maps lists the restaurant as open, and it is also listed on Wolt (checked in November 2026). The prices in this post are from my visit in July 2024. Check the restaurant’s Instagram for the current menu and prices before visiting.

If you’re staying in Prague for a week or longer, or spending a month here, I’d recommend giving this place a try.
