Flamengo Prague: Pizza, Pasta and Generous Portions
A table set with oven-baked pizza and generous portions of pasta
Dobrý den! I’m CULT.
Today I’ll tell you about a place I used to go for pizza and pasta when I lived in Prague.
When I think of pasta in Prague, three places come to mind: Pasta Fresca, Alforno and Flamengo. That leaves out the places with Michelin stars and sky-high prices to match. People living locally have suggested Mikulka too.. but its prices have risen to Fresca levels without the quality to match, so I left it off my list.

Flamengo at a Glance
I used to come here for pizza and pasta when I lived in Prague, and the portions are generous too.
Details

First, the restaurant is in the Prague 7 district.
It stays open pretty late. Until 11 p.m.

For starters, prices are about 20–30% lower than in the Prague 1 district.

Pizza tastes best baked in a proper pizza oven

A treat for the eyes too

I ordered a Pepsi. Back then, I didn’t even know Pepsi Zero existed..

Pineapple pizza, beloved by Italians and Gordon Ramsay. It tastes good, but the media have ruined its reputation in Korea 😀

Carbonara, Hawaiian pizza and Bolognese.

Of the three pasta places I recommend in Prague, this one serves the biggest portions.

The carbonara strays a little from the Italian style.. There’s a little liquid at the bottom, though not as much as in Korea.

Tasty. Recommended.
Honestly, Fresca has the edge on taste, but the portions here look like they could be twice the size of Fresca’s.. Hard to beat for value
I keep mentioning Fresca, but eating pasta there leaves me feeling like I’ve cooked just one packet of bibimmyeon at home. It tastes good.. but I’m not even remotely full..

Bolognese. This is all I ever order when I come here.

All gone 😀

Since the pandemic, restaurant owners in Europe who used to run their businesses however they pleased without caring about ratings have been hit with waves of bad Google Maps reviews over tips, and tipping is gradually becoming less common. If you still want to leave one, the bill here came to 763 CZK, right? Just say 800, and the 37 CZK difference is the tip.
Flamengo’s official website lists the address as Dukelských hrdinů 972/20 and opening hours as 10:00–23:00, and I found no news of a closure (checked November 2, 2026). The official menu lists Hawaiian pizza at 245 CZK and Bolognese at 239 CZK, up from 215 CZK and 229 CZK on the September 2023 receipt, and a 0.25 L Pepsi at 45 CZK. Please bear in mind that the receipt amounts in this post are the prices I paid during my September 2023 visit.
- The pizzas listed on the official menu are 32 cm. This is based on the menu checked on November 2, 2026.
- When I had it, it strayed a little from the Italian style, with a little liquid at the bottom, though not as much as in Korea. I couldn't find carbonara on the official menu checked on November 2, 2026, though, so I don't know if they still serve it.
- I always order Bolognese when I come here. I ordered it on this visit too.
- Pasta Fresca, Alforno and Flamengo come to mind. My list leaves out the places with Michelin stars and sky-high prices to match.
- People living locally have suggested Mikulka too. I left it off because its prices have risen to Fresca levels, but I don't think the quality matches.
- The 37 CZK difference is the tip. That's why I said in the post that if you still want to tip, just say 800.
